"I travel frequently and stay in hotels more than 60 nights per year. I am also a Platinum member with Marriott Bonvoy, so I am very familiar with hotel standards and customer service expectations. I chose this hotel only because I wanted a convenient option for my 82-year-old mother. Unfortunately, this has been one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. When we arrived, we discovered there were no elevators in the hotel. Despite explaining my mother’s age and physical condition, the staff initially refused to provide us with a room on the first floor. As a result, my mother had to climb stairs and was completely out of breath upon reaching the room. I consider this unacceptable and potentially dangerous for an elderly guest. The hotel itself is far below the standards that should reasonably be expected for the price charged. While the room was minimally clean, the property is extremely outdated and poorly equipped. Among the issues we encountered: Air conditioning blowing directly onto the beds and guests’ faces and stopped working completely. The night was suffocating because opening the windows is not an option. - directly on boulevard. No USB charging ports Only one chair despite the room having two beds Paper cups instead of proper glassware Strong unpleasant odor throughout the hotel General condition and presentation far below acceptable standards"

"The breakfast here are really excellent. One morning we had cheese, crepes and the second morning we had eggs benedict. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We went for a day of cycling on the many available biking paths. We relaxed in the hot tub afterwards, which was just perfect. The small town of north hadley is very close by with a few Good restaurants for all budgets."

"Unfortunately, the money paid for the quality and the service provided does not match. The staff are rude, when I complained about an issue of cleanliness in my room (their was hair in the bed that isn’t mine, I also noticed hair on the floor but never bought that up with the staff, I just asked for the bedding to be changed), the staff rudely replied she was up since 6:00 that morning and the beds have already been changed and it is normal to have hair that might have been caused by electricity. I politely replied that I understood her point of view but I would still like the bedding to be changed (because no, it’s not ok or clean to have someone else’s hair on your bed, I’m not sure how this is up for argument), she was visibly bothered by it and said that she would do it but I should help. I did not help. I sat on my chair until she changed the bed because as a customer, it makes no sense to say ‘you should help’. I’m not getting a free night sleep. I frankly couldn’t believe the audacity but remained quiet because I was very tired after a long drive. As a customer who is paying, this is never and should never be a reply. I also have early work days and in fact my work days start at 5:00 AM. I took a solo trip to relax. I would never tell my customers ‘ I was up at 5:00 AM’. If your staff do not like their job, let them change it, but it’s unprofessional and inappropriate to take it on the customer who is paying over $300 to stay a night. We expect hospitality."
