"Our host, Jill met us on the rode and drove us to the cottage. I'm not sure if we would have found it on our own even with GPS. The cottage is nestled in the woods in a beautiful setting. The cottage itself was very nice and comfortable and cozy with a wonderful view of Coral Bay. Plenty of storage space for clothes. The 2 wrap around porches were a great place for morning coffee or sunset happy hour. Being on an island we lost power a couple of times but not for more than an hour or two. Also be aware there are a number of steps to get to the cottage. Overall, a great find."

"The pool with the ocean view is spectacular. We spent a great deal of time there. Given the size of the house and the number of guests it accommodates, they could use more than 4 lounge chairs."

"Mandevilla is great!! Beautiful home and views over coral bay, five minutes to the beaches, and a quick drive into either town. Have stayed here twice and will again for sure."

"Miss Leo was friendly and welcoming and escorted us to the home. The cottage was very comfortable for our family of four, and well-equipped for meals, as well as providing chairs for the beach. The setting is quiet and peaceful, and the view is beautiful and restful! We especially enjoyed the sunrises. Picking star fruit from the tree by the patio was a fun novelty, and the guide book “St. John: Off the Beaten Track” was very informative and useful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!"

"The swimming pool is absolutely gorgeous with iridescent glass tiles. The photos just don’t do this gorgeous location justice. You feel right at home upon arrival. 5 donkeys slept in the driveway on Christmas night, which was a huge treat for us, the donkeys are so calm & they roam the island constantly, never staying in 1 place. Unbelievably, you can see both sides of the island from this peak…the north islands from the frozen driveway & south islands/BVI from the pool deck. The location is bursting with wildlife. The beds are comfy. The bedspreads & sheets were very high thread-count 100% cotton. The mgmt company met us at our Cruz Bay car rental & we followed them to the Villa, as we would have never found this villa at night bc we had zero T-Mobile cell service on that side of the island. Apple Maps worked so-so on the east side of island before we learned our way around. The pool deck/patio are unbelievably large & luxurious. The gas grill was easy to use. Check-out responsibility was simply to take out the garbage & start the dishwasher, leave the fans on, which we mistakenly left the fans off. Elian with mgmt co was wonderful. The driving on St John isn’t for the faint of heart. It should be noted that there are 4 king beds, not twin beds in 1 of the bedrooms, as pictured in the listing that we saw. We will miss this place with all of our hearts. "

"Have stayed at different locations on STJ, from the old Westin hotel to other villas, but this lovely house is superior due to its amazing location on Maho beach (hidden behind a few trees). Easy beach access through the backyard and minutes away from Cinnamon and Truck. Love it! Managers also outstanding to deal with."
