For first time visitors to Vicksburg who came with an interest in the city's history, there couldn't have been a better place to stay than the Inn at Cedar Grove. The mansion is an amazing specimen of Civil War era design and furnishing, and the post-breakfast tour of the home really put us in a state of mind to appreciate all that we saw at the many museums in the town, and on our visit to the Vicksburg Military Park. The no-menu included breakfast was a bit rough - if you have dietary issues...
