"We chose this location by proximity to the lake. It was clean and well appointed and did not disappoint (other than we didn’t catch any fish). Home was well stocked with necessity item including cookware which was important for us as we cooked our own meals. It also had dishwasher and detergent along with washer and dryer and laundry soap. It was a quiet peaceful location and I would definitely stay there again!"

"I rented the Cabin to have some solitude, peace and quiet. It was all of that. The cabin is clean, quaint, beautiful, and set up really nice. The view of the lake from the Cabin and front porch is spectacular. You have all need for cooking and place settings. I would make one suggestion, is to place a microwave if possible? "Cottage is in bachelor format with basically one large room. Perfect for my wife and I, maybe not two couples. Place was spotless and possibly the best equipped rental I have ever been in. Paper towel, tissue, several rolls of TP, toothbrushes, floss sticks, plenty of dishes for several meals before running the dishwasher , lots of towels including additional for the hot tub. I will stay here again and recommend to friends."

"We booked for two nights to attend a friends wedding. The property was very well kept. Upon arrival we were greeted with homemade cookies and a welcome note from the owners. Everything was there that we needed, lots of towels and extra linens. Heat pump came in handy as it was cold, for June. The downstairs shower was amazing. I would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone looking for a place to spend their summer or winter vacation."

It is quite a remote property which was a little nerve wracking at first as our signal was limited but the setting is worth it. Only about 20 mins to St Peters. Our main feedback was just around the compost toilet, whilst eco efficient, it does have a smell and this smell progressively got worse with more use. "Nice log cottage sitting on Diana Mountain with a nice view of Bras d’Or Lake. The night skys are fantastic. The cottage is secluded. It is about a 35 minute drive to the nearest store of any kind so if you want to get away from everything it is perfect. Stock up before you go. The cottage has high speed internet and good cell phone reception to keep you in touch with the outside world. If you are planning on taking in a lot of the sights of Cape Breton Island then plan on a lot of driving."
