"What a beautiful hotel, pure class. The room was cosy and beautifully thought out. Breakfast was really excellent. All staff were helpful and polite. The location is very close to the station and bars and restaurants. I would stay here again in a heartbeat"

"Location spot on, always stay here. Exec lounge a nice touch. We stayed in a two bedroom suite and it needs updating, furniture old and bathrooms should be modernised for a 4* hotel."

"Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room and facilities. Service and food in the Pickled Sprout was excellent too. Compact double room that was very warm even with windows open and two fans. Be aware the parking is very limited and the recommended multi storey is a few minutes walk. Worked well and good value for a one night stay."

"Charlie on the front desk deserves recognition. He helped us with check out and bag storage. Really friendly and helpful. Room was clean, comfortable, great location. Only thing I’d mention is the bathrooms are on sensor with no switch, so even during the night the bathroom lights come on when not wanted. Regardless I’d still stay again without hesitation!"

"Welcoming to dogs and a really lovely experience all round. Breakfast was nice but limited places to sit with a dog when someone else has booked the whole room and it's the room you have to sit in. Otherwise just an all round nice stay. Food was tasty and welcoming to dogs. Thank you"
