Hono Kai Complex: The 3-story Hono Kai complex has direct access to over six miles of white sandy beach just steps from the manicured resort grounds perfect for swimming, snorkeling, boogie boarding, sunbathing, and surfing at times. In a brief 13 min walk (0.7 mi) via Hauoli St, you can enjoy the Maalaea Harbor, the Maalaea Harbor shops, Maui’s Ocean Center Aquarium, the Maui Golf and Sports Park, and much more. The oceanfront pool is located just a wall away from the glistening waters of the Hawaiian ocean. Enjoy watching turtles and sealife playing in the waves, including whales, depending on the season (December- mid-April) while sitting or swimming at the pool or grilling at the community BBQ station. This condo was perfect for our family of 4\. Everyone had their own space. The 2 bathrooms were key for my teens. The condo was so clean and bright. Our jaws all dropped when we first walked in and saw the view from the lanai! Every meal was spent on the lanai which was never too hot or windy- it was perfect. And every day was spent with my kids on the sweet little beach right in front of our lanai. We snorkeled and boogie-boarded for hours and hours. The location was so convenient to all of our excursions and it was such a pleasure to return back to this condo at the end of our long days. From the moment we walked in, we were in awe of the view. Great views from every room/window. While the space isn't big, the layout was perfect for our family of 4, that included 2 teens. Ma'alaea is located pretty centrally which made it easy to take day trips from. The beach out front was never very crowded. We saw a turtle swimming out front several times. We enjoyed eating the majority of our meals out on the lanai. The air conditioning kept us all very comfortable. As big Dodger fans, we were thrilled to have Sports Net LA and enjoyed watching some of the games while enjoying the ocean view. We hope to make a return trip! Mahalo! ##### Cheryl S. Amy the property manager was so accommodating and quick to respond, really made our honeymoon great! The condo was well stocked and we loved being greeted by the Hawaiian music playing! The pictures of the listing showed a lot more of the “private beach” right out front of the condo, but it was all water and no room to sit there. Thankfully the condo is in a great location so a quick walk or drive to another beach was easy. The beach chairs, bogey board, and noodles made beach days the absolute best. This stay gave us a great Hawaii feel while still having the comfort of being home like a good bed, couch, air conditioning, tv, and a full kitchen. The location was residential and not touristy. It was convenient to get to other areas on the island including Kanapali, Lahaina, and Paia. I would definitely recommend. ##### Alyssa L. Beautiful ocean views, nice workspace upstairs, comfortable living room. A great place to unwind.
