This unit is one of the most sought after and revisited vacation destination on Oahu's west side of the island The west side of Oahu is known as the dryer and sunnier side of the island. It is the Waianae Coast. The weather is less humid, less rainy, more sunshine and you can feel the tropical Hawaiian trade winds blow through the units. This weather difference results in some of the clearest cleanest waters on the island of Oahu. These clear blue waters provide an ideal backdrop for photography, sunbathing, beachcombing, snorkeling, diving, fishing, bodyboarding, surfing, kayaking, boating, hiking or simply relaxing on the lanai. Makaha is located approximately 40 minutes from the airport by car and 60 minutes west from the hustle and bustle of the state’s capital Honolulu, famous Waikiki Beach, Punchbowl Cemetery, and Diamond Head Crater. Most of the other major tourist attractions on Oahu are an easy day trip from the condos. Come and stay at the beach in this rural community of Makaha. Enjoy the "local" environment, the local residents, and experience some of the most beautiful, uncrowded sandy beaches on the island of Oahu. You can easily visit the famous Makaha International Surfing Beach in the next cove, North Shore's Pipeline and Sunset Beach. Pearl Harbor, or shopping and dining in any of the Resort areas. You can then return home to Makaha, enjoy the beach, swim in the pool, relax in the hot tub, or relax on your lanai to unwind watching the sunset as the fabulous day closes and you recharge for another great day in paradise. This Condominium is one of only a few condominiums that are built right on the beach with the Pacific Ocean at your door step. Few areas in Hawaii can boast of such an secluded, white sand, crescent shaped beach with waters flat at times for snorkeling and surf at other times for "riding the waves". This beach is often referred to as "Oahu's Best Kept Secret" . Very few travelers even know of this beach and it is not seen from the main road. The fabulous views, spectacular sunsets, sounds of the waves and the close proximity to the beach makes this a perfect place to enjoy Hawaii's casual life style. Enjoy paradise, relax with the tropical trade winds, and play all day at the beach. Marine life is abundant in this cove known as "turtle cove". Daily sightings of turtles, dolphins, whales (in season), monk seals, schools of fish, and more can be seen from your private lanai. You might even see the turtles and seal lions on the beach being warmed by the sun. The one bedroom one bath units can accommodate 4 guests and adjoining both units together can accommodate 8\. The unit has everything that you will need with fully equipped kitchen, linens, and beach gear. We have tried to think of everything for your comfort. First impressions of the condo? Whisper-quiet. No fan hum, no AC rattle, no neighbour noise. If you’re a light sleeper like me, this place is gold. The layout is excellent—private, accessible, and topped off with a breathtaking view. The balcony easily fits four adults, and with our boys at 19 and 21, it’s worth noting the condo is genuinely comfortable for four grown adults (two couples would be perfect too). The moment we opened the balcony door and heard the surf, we knew we were in heaven. And then—wait… is that a whale? Yup. Whale spotted within 30 seconds. Welcome to paradise. But honestly, even a perfect condo is secondary—this place is all about the BEACH. Huge, private, and never crowded. I’ve seen 5,000 people on beaches this size; most days here there were maybe 12–30\. Sandy entry, gentle surf—safe for kids and great for anyone with mobility concerns. Not us though. I’m here for turtles and tropical fish. About 20 feet out, the reef begins, and I snorkeled two or three times a day, usually along the south spit near the condo. Green sea turtles every time and roughly 30 species of fish. Stay here and skip the snorkeling tour—this bay is the tour. The only downside? The views from the balcony were absolutely beautiful! The owner was wonderful to work with. The condo itself is up to date and comfortable. The west side of Oahu is less busy and we liked that too. We snorkelled with turtles, played pickle ball, swam in the pool, and spent hours enjoying the sun at the beach. You have to be prepared to at least 20 minutes for restaurants and yes there are homeless but they will not bother you. If there is a larger group in the adjoining condo it can get kinda loud but luckily for us it was only one night. Overallnit was beautiful and relaxing. ##### Jennie O. The condo was the perfect vacation place for our little family. It is right on the beach for fun beach days but also had a pool when the ocean was too rough to swim in. We also enjoyed the on-site BBQ’s for cooking family dinners after long days out in the sun. The condo was well equipped, and the views were stunning. You can cook breakfast and watch the waves roll in at the same time. The ocean is right there. The beach was well kept and pretty quiet, which was nice. There is not a lot of nice restaurants nearby but if you don’t mind cooking for yourself its not a problem. We lived next door to this complex 50 years ago as newlyweds and this return to this paradise was fantastic. The owner is very accommodating to all the guest's needs but did not bother us at all. The unit is comfortable and well maintained, well decorated and is perfect for two people possibly 4\. The beach and pool are fantastic. Hawaii sun is harsh but there is plenty of shady areas. The condo unit has everything you need for a relaxing stay as close to the beach as possible. We checked in after midnight and the night guard was waiting for us at the door and made sure we were ok getting to our unit. The local Tamura grocery/household store was a close drive for about anything you'd need. The beach is incredibly beautiful. Big wave action some days. I felt safe in the building and on the beach, but worrying about theft on my vacation should not be a priority. Your condo had everything we needed and such an incredible view which we enjoyed throughout our stay. Enjoyed snorkeling and sunning. ##### Lauren D.
