Welcome to our private retreat! Our property features a peaceful garden oasis with a full patio, gas fireplace, and a relaxing spa. Savor your morning coffee under the trellis with kiwi vines while enjoying the sound of the running fountain. Our fully fenced backyard is perfect for guests with pets. Cozy up around the outdoor firepit with seating. Please note that the firepit is shared with guests in the other suite.
For complete private access to the shared forest area and outdoor fireplace, guest can block the Misty Haven Suite for additional $100 per night if the dates are open. Quiet location. Pet friendly. King bed mattress firm but comfortable. Bedroom with double bed is small and one side of the bed up against a wall… difficult to get out of bed in the middle of the night if shared with someone else. Stairs to loft with trundle bed very steep . Dining and living areas lovely. Great location.

Our stay at this property was truly relaxing and inspiring! The thoughtfully placed artwork throughout the home, with its architecturally designed feel, added a unique charm. Everywhere we looked, there were fine finishes to admire, showcasing the care put into every detail.The beautiful hot tub provided the perfect spot to unwind, while the large deck offered breathtaking views. Inside, the home was cozy and inviting, with comfortable bedrooms and spacious full bathrooms that made our stay even more enjoyable.Host, Ian, was fantastic, ensuring everything was just right and making us feel completely at home. Overall, an exceptional getaway—we would absolutely stay again!

Magical

We were expecting Misty Haven to be lovely, but it was so much better than expected. The photos don't do justice to how special this place is. The house is beautiful, spacious and elegantly furnished. The forest gardens are delightful, and during our stay, covered in woodland wild flowers. Sitting in the hot tub, while stargazing and listening to a chorus of frogs will remain a life long memory. To top it all, Ian, the host, was so accommodating and kind. We had car trouble and he went far out of his way to help us out. Thank you, Ian.

Lovely venue for a small family reunion

We loved our stay at Misty Haven, a private and secluded West Coast style home nestled among the trees on a rock bluff in rural Saanich, yet conveniently close to shops and Butchart Gardens, and the wider Victoria area. There is a spectacular deck and living room and a great dining room area ideal for a relaxing and peaceful visit with friends and family. We found the beds very comfortable, and the home is beautifully appointed with cozy lounge furniture and rustic vintage decorations. Our host, who stayed in their own suite on site, was friendly, attentive and welcoming, but also gave us our privacy. The venue serves as a great base for a visit to Victoria and surroundings, if you like a retreat from the busy city vibes. I would strongly recommend this listing.

Beautiful spot for a relaxing family vacation

Peaceful lodging in a natural setting; we enjoyed morning walks to Elk Lake and lots of day trips around Victoria. Ian was helpful and responsive to requests. We would absolutely return if given the opportunity!

Private that was nice and rural, the space was clean, the host was lovely to work with, yard was safe for our dogs, location was a great starting point for any day Adventures. The bed was comfortable.

Great Family Cabin

The cabin was absolutely stunning! Beautiful way to experience the island! The host Ian met us there when we arrived and showed us ariund the place and was very friendly and helpful! There was plenty of space and everything was clean. Great location! Cannot recommend the place enough!

Perfect nature retreat to get away from it all.

Amazing property nestled in nature. Lots of room for the family and to kick back and relax and enjoy the beautiful natural setting. Only 15mins from the ferry or from Downtown Victoria though. Only regret is that we didn’t book for longer but will definitely be coming back again.

Lovely property and back deck!

We had a wonderful weekend at this property. The property managers were attentive to additional needs. The kitchen could use some more accessories, as we cooked elaborate meals during our stays. However the private nature of property was greatly appreciated. Lovely spot to catch up with family!

Great Potential but Missing the Mark

Property and home would have been very nice but it was not clean at all. There was toothpaste spit on the faucets in the bathroom, the bathroom fan was very dirty clogged with dust, there was dripped liquid dried onto the front of the oven, and a chip left under the coffee table in the living room. There were also a number of things missing; a dish cloth, few utensils, BBQ brush, and there were only enough towels for one per person even though there was a hot tub. It would be nice to have a towel for the hot tub and a different towel for the shower. The host was pleasant although they did wake me up at 7am one morning knocking on the door which was not appreciated. Wildlife around the yard was nice to see. The deck was fantastic with the seating and hot tub.
