Hotel is close to downtown area and also not too far from I-74. Furnishings are gradually being upgraded although the colours which predominate in the rooms create a dark feeling. Comfortable beds. Very clean! Excellent breakfasts. Helpful staff. Had a good stay!

We had a quick overnight stay on a 6000km road trip. We stayed in 6 different hotels during our journey. All the hotels we stayed in were in the same category. I had my best sleep at this hotel. We travelled with our own pillows, so I cannot comment on the pillows, but the bed was very comfy, and the room was easy to maintain at a consistent temperature. Clean room and nice staff

The staff was extreemely helpful. When we checked in our key did not work and the lady at registration came up and got us into our room, and made us new keys, very quickly. There was no fridge in our room, she took care of getting us one and her helper brought us one in 15 minutes. He even exchanged it for a newer one, because he didn't think the first one was clean enough. The beds were good, the airconditioning was a bit loud, but worked well. Was on a long road trip and specifically planned to make this one of my stops. I stayed here a few years ago and loved the hotel and the location! The rooms are much more comfortable than any other hotel, and love going for a quiet walk around the area!

Its a beautiful calm place to stay in a beautiful character builidning.

The staff were so welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. Check in was a breeze. The hotel looked brand new even although the building is a hundred years old. we had dinner in the restaurant and the food was first class. We arrived late and left early so didn’t use the pool but it looked very clean. Free parking right out front is always a bonus. Gorgeous little town with lots of quirky shops and restaurants. I can’t say enough good things about our stay. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is nicer than it looks from outside the building. Room is spacious and clean, staff is very helpful, friendly. Hot breakfast is better than many higher star ones. They also offer free bottle water at check-out. Definitely will come back next visiting Champaign-Urbana area.
