Well, it was tough finding the place. You have to beware there are two Taras Shevchenko streets. This one is on the "boulevard" and the other is about 1km down Xreshchatyk. Find the Maidan, then find McDonalds and you are 5 minutes away. If you are at the bank, you're wrong.

The location is perfect for exploring all parts of Kyiv; there are two subway lines within a 5 minute walk and the hotel is located adjacent to the main square. Accessing the square is not as direct as one would hope and there is some noise from the square but the windows are very good at keeping out the noise. There are no kettles or coffee makers in the rooms (I suspect this is due to the electrical wiring or lack thereof to support these appliances). Hot drinking water is only available in...

Located in a safe and accessible area in the downtown. Restaurants, subway and taxi fares are all close. The building is in high quality condition and all the ammenities are as in the photo's. Breakfast buffet is located on the top floor and has a great selection of local food, fruit, desserts. You get a great view of the city. Has a very "western" feel to it and all of the staff speak english. Highly recommend this hotel and would stay again.
