The location of the hotel is very nice. It is close to everything. Few minutes to the public transportation and sightseeings. The room and bathroom iare much bigger than other five hotels that we stayed. The breakfast has limited food choices but they are fresh. However, the hotel needs complete rebuld. It puzzles me of how it was rated as five stars hotel. It is very old in need of urgent repair. All the furniture used in the room seems getting from backyard sale. The carpet used in lobby seem to be not washed for long time. You can smell it. The sleep area is decorated with animal or angel sculptures that might not be comfortable to some people. I passed by some 3 or 4 stars hotels, these hotels are definitely looks and feel higher class than this one. If you are looking for a 5 star stay, I would not recommend it.

Beautiful Hotel! I loved the artwork and history the hotel has. The room we had was nice and well put together. The staff was so kind and friendly as well. Lots of choices to eat at breakfast as well and the rooms where breakfast was served was beautiful!!

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!
Beautiful Small Luxury Hotel of the World!!! This is one of the most rememberable hotels we have stayed in. I say this because the building was built in the 1500's with an addition being completed in the 1700's. The building has been impeccably maintained. When you stay here, make sure to tour each area of the hotel and speak to Nicolo at the front desk about the building itself. There are such gorgeous frescos that cannot be missed, painted in the 1700's. Andre from the on-site restaurant will also make you feel right at home! He is fantastico!!! The rooms are very nice sized for a hotel this old! The bed was very comfortable and the amenities provided in the rooms will make you feel right at home! Also, the location is so close to anything you want to see or do in Venice! There is a Gondola station actually right at the entrance of the hotel!

Beautiful hotel in a very convenient area. Staff were excellent to deal with, the hotel was once a museum, has some beautiful common rooms.
