Cherry Valley Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"This was just like a Hallmark Christmas/Thanksgiving Inn. It is easy to get too. Lighting outside was great as was the parking. The room was spacious and gorgeous! Loved our personal little balcony for two that over looked a beautiful courtyard seasonally decorated and lit with colored lights. The AC worked well. The water pressure was Awesome!! Handicap grips on the bathtub were great. However, tub was extra tall and my husband had to help me in and out of the tub. Two downfalls were 1. We asked for a ground floor room as I walk with a cane and rollater. They placed on the second floor which the walk to the elevator wasn’t long but our room was 15 rooms from the elevator. A rad far to walk for me. No explanation was given as to why no ground floor room. 2. Some guests on the second floor allowed their children to run up and down the halls slamming doors well after 10:00 pm and quiet hour."

"We are local and needed to stay here during a home renovation project. The rooms were clean and extremely comfortable with Aveda bath amenities. The service was wonderful, even when we were checking in extremely late. The buffet breakfast that was included was also delicious with many options. I would recommend this to anyone else who stays in Mount Vernon!"

"Hotel was quite old, but I can tell the owners are trying to update. TV required you to log in to view channels and was not user friendly. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was just ok, but included in room price."

"We stayed at The Buxton for a few days while our daughter is at Denison, and the location could not have been more convenient. It sits in the heart of Granville’s historic downtown, right across from The Granville Inn for lunch or dinner.Breakfast at The Buxton was delicious, and the staff were helpful, professional, and genuinely kind. The inn itself is beautiful and charming, with a warm personal feel that made our stay so special.We also noticed the renovations underway and can’t wait to see the progress. We would love to come back."
