"We did not realize this was basically a family hotel. The rooms were hotel rooms but we were expecting a single family apartment/home. The location was good, out of the way and quiet. "

"My family had a wonderful time at Hotel Maximillian! The rooms are clean, well appointed, and the beds are super comfy. The view out the window is picture perfect of beautiful mountains. The location is quiet, with plenty of parking. The restaurant is excellent! We went into town one night and paid twice as much for dinner, and it wasn't nearly delicious as the meals we had in the hotel restaurant. The best part of the hotel is the staff! Everyone is so nice and helpful-especially the owner Gabi. She took lots of time to help us find the most enjoyable things to do in the area (and there are a LOT of things to do!) We had to leave early for the airport our last day, so Gabi even had the kitchen make us sandwiches for the journey for my family. Just the nicest, most thoughtful people! If you like doing outdoorsy things, this is such an amazing area to vacation! And Hotel Maximilian is the perfect place to stay!"

"The room needed a new carpet it was exceptionally dirty and stained, the bathroom had a musty damp smell to it. The bed was comfortable and clean and the restaurant was very good."
