We spent a full week at Brewster by the Sea Inn in early September and can't say enough good things about our time there. Amy is a wonderful and warm hostess, with so many great reccos for things to see and do on the Cape. Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet. The breakfasts were delicious and we loved being able to sit outside on the deck every morning and be served by the polite, attentive and accommodating staff. Having our morning visit with Sweet Pea, the friendly resident...

Just returned from a lovely 3 night stay. Loved the ambiance of the Inn. For me, it was exactly what a New England inn should be. Breakfast was delicious each morning and I was even able to get a recipe! There were several nice extras, use of bikes, a glass of port or sherry at the end of the day. Brian, our host, was very gracious and extremely helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

This was a perfect stay at in a beautiful home away from home. Captain Ferris’ BnB was thoughtfully set up for travellers in all of the ways- from the inviting chess set in the parlour to the freshly baked cookies available all day. This space is spotless and C and J were helpful and inviting hosts! We loved this place!

My wife and I were fortunate enough to spend a full week at this beautiful Inn. Our hosts, Kathleen and Chuck (as well as the rest of the staff) went the extra mile to make sure we had the perfect getaway! The freshly made breakfasts every morning were excellent (they served mostly local products), the location was perfect and the grounds were beautiful (loved all the flowers). The rooms were also recently renovated :) if you're searching for a couple's retreat in Cape Cod, look no further!

The reviews are true, this is a great place to stay. We based ourselves here as we explored the Cape. It’s a 10 minute walk to the port where you catch the ferries to Nantucket and the Vineyard. Main st Hyannis is the next street over. You really can’t beat the location. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast was good and there was always plenty. The rooms are very basic, nothing fancy at all, no bells and whistles. Just a basic room with all the necessities for a decent...

Spent a fantastic two nights at the Beach Breeze Inn. The room was extremely clean and spacious and the pool area was very well kept. The owners were incredibly kind and offered plenty of suggestions for site seeing around Cape Cod. Beach towels and chairs were available to borrow for off-site adventures, which was a very pleasant surprise. The location was perfect, with a very short drive to Harwich for shopping and eating and the drive to Hyannis was very easy. We will definitely be back!...

Propre, belle grandeur de chambre, bien décorée. Petite terrasse arrière intéressante. À améliorer : support pour faire sécher serviette dans la salle de bain. Bien situé. Recommandé.

The best area to stay in Truro is along the scenic Route 6, particularly near the charming village centre, or in the quieter, more secluded areas closer to the Cape Cod National Seashore.
The village centre of Truro, around the intersection of Route 6 and Pamet Roads, offers a convenient base. Here, you'll find a few local shops, eateries, and galleries, providing a pleasant, unhurried feel. It's a great spot for those who appreciate being able to walk to a few amenities while still enjoying the relaxed pace of Cape Cod.
Couples looking for a romantic escape often prefer properties closer to the Cape Cod National Seashore. Areas like Ballston Beach or Corn Hill Beach offer stunning natural beauty and a feeling of seclusion. Many accommodations here provide direct access to hiking trails and panoramic ocean views, superb for quiet evenings and enjoying the natural landscape.
For families, staying closer to the village centre or near the bay side beaches like Corn Hill Beach can be ideal. These locations offer easier access to local general stores for necessities and are often a short drive from family-friendly activities, including the Truro Vineyards and the Highland Light.
When is the best time to go to Truro?
The best time to visit Truro is during the shoulder seasons of late spring (May to early June) and early autumn (September to mid-October).
During these periods, the weather is pleasantly mild, and the summer crowds have either not yet arrived or have already departed. You'll find the beaches like Ballston Beach and Head of the Meadow Beach less crowded, allowing for a more peaceful experience. Many local restaurants and shops are still open, offering a relaxed pace of exploration.
Travellers looking for a quiet escape will particularly enjoy Truro in the shoulder seasons. It's an ideal time for long walks along the shore, exploring the Truro Vineyards of Cape Cod, or visiting the Highland Lighthouse without the bustling crowds.
