The best area to stay in Touarga, Rabat, is within the Kasbah des Oudayas, particularly for its unique character and central location. This historic area is a walled fortress that sits at the mouth of the Bou Regreg River. Its narrow, blue-and-white painted streets, reminiscent of Chefchaouen, lead to stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and the river. The main gate, Bab Oudaïa, is a prominent landmark, and the Andalusian Gardens offer a peaceful retreat within the walls.Couples often enjoy the romantic and historic setting of the Kasbah des Oudayas. The quiet streets and picturesque architecture provide a lovely backdrop for strolls, and there are several charming cafes where you can enjoy traditional Moroccan mint tea with a view. For those who prefer a more modern setting with easier access to wider streets and a broader range of amenities, staying just outside the Kasbah in the adjacent areas of Rabat is a good alternative.

The best time to visit Touarga is during spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasantly mild and comfortable for exploring.During these months, the temperatures are moderate, typically ranging from 20°C to 28°C, with less humidity than the summer months. This makes it ideal for walking around the Royal Palace grounds and enjoying the outdoor spaces without the intensity of the summer heat or the cooler, wetter conditions of winter. You'll find it great for leisurely strolls and photography.Couples looking for a romantic and relaxed trip will particularly appreciate these seasons. The gardens around the Royal Palace are often in full bloom in spring, providing a beautiful backdrop for walks.
