Breakfast is excellent, although different from the traditional western hotel breakfast (but much better in my opinion) in that you have hot meat dishes, rice, salads and miso soup. The amenities bar is well stocked and the provided pygamas are very comfortable. It was different from my American expectations, but it was also the perfect location and exactly what we needed. The room was small, but clean and the hotel was very efficient and eco conscious. Had to pay 3000 yen in cash for 'service charge' for my 4 night stay. I was too tired to argue and did not ask for receipt. I think I was scammed. This is definitely not the 'city tax'. I stayed at another Super Hotel in Tokyo (Ningyocho) a week later and no additional fees were asked for. Both cases I prepaid for the hotel on this site.
