![My first attempt at a serious panorama of the Milky Way, our home galaxy. Cape Hatteras Lighthouse provides an ideal location since it faces the right direction to compose such a panorama while maintaining the balance in the image. 

This shot is composed of 6 vertical shots shot at 30 degrees of rotation and merged in Photoshop. Added to the usual difficulties of shooting and composing a panorama at night, this night was crazy hot with nighttime temperature in the mid 80s, no breeze and humidity so high that the lens had to be wiped after every exposure. On top of it, the mosquitoes had a field day running rings around me and no amount of bug spray helped. « Nous avons passé une nuit en juillet 2025 au Bask Hotel à Morehead City en famille (2 adultes et 2 ados), et nous avons été très satisfaits de notre séjour ! Notre chambre double avec deux lits queen était immense, très propre et parfaitement équipée, avec TV, Wi-Fi, machine à café, frigo et un coin cuisine bien pratique. Idéale pour une famille ! Le personnel a été très accueillant et sympathique. Côté services : parking payant, machine à glace, pas de piscine, mais un petit déjeuner inclus,...

« Un superbe hôtel dans la petite ville de Beaufort... Chambre spacieuse, renovée et très propre. Restaurant sur place mais un poil cher. Le gros hic c'est qu'il n'y a pas de parking sur place... Ils mettent un parking (terrain à l'abandon) à disposition mais il faut marcher un peu. Sinon, vous pouvez payer le valet parking à 15 dollars par jour et ils le font à votre place. pour un hôtel de ce prix, ce service devrait être gratuit. Donc un peu déçue pour ça ! »

« I stayed at this Holiday Inn for 5 days and had a really great experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and housekeeping did a good job keeping everything fresh during my stay. The staff was friendly and helpful anytime I needed something, which made a big difference. I also liked having access to the free coffee machine in the lobby. "Chambre Super propre et très beau. Agréable séjour! De belles fenêtres avec des vues sur la marina! Wow! Nous avons par contre trouver les ascenseur très long à monter et descendre, presque non fonctionnel, sur 3 ascenseurs en face, seulement un marchait temps plein, l’autre par intermittence. Un employé nous a fait passer par un ascenseur de service pour nous accommoder! Merci! "
