"The room was absolutely filthy - even the kettle was dirty. The bathroom had black mould in it and there was mould / damp above the bed. The window didn't open so we couldn't even air the room. I dropped some clothing on the floor and when I picked it up it was covered in dust / dirt and small curly hairs... I know the room was cheap - the furniture was all very old and dated which is fine but the very least I expect from a hotel room is for it to be clean. The breakfast was the only redeeming feature - the breakfast was good and the breakfast chef was lovely. "

"Lovely big room, comfortable bed, friendly welcoming staff! Only downside the room was overlooking the market square which made it noisy after pubs closed! Overall pleasant stopover! Will hopefully spend more time exploring Richmond next visit!"

"Room was clean staff we’re really friendly and happy to help , there was parking available the hotel was right in the centre of Richmond so lots of shops restaurants and pubs on the door step , the food was lovely and we had no issues at all with our stay and would return "

"The breakfast was very good my husband had a full English which the really enjoyed and I had continental but was all so offered a bacon sandwich . But I had quite a lot so did not take that offer up "

"Such a cosy warm cottage. Very well equipped. Comfortable beds and sofas. Been several times and really love it there. Owner very thoughtful leaving some money towards parking . Will definitely return again ."

"Heating turned on at 20degrees but frankly when it’s minus 7 outside this was not enough. A fan in the bathroom would be good because it’s unreasonable to expect the window to be open when freezing outside. Shower was hard to adjust. A manual when you arrive would be a help too If you had 4 people in this house it would be too small. A simple double bed in the second bedroom would provide a bit more space to move around. Towel rail in the bathroom would be better if you could tirn it off and on yourself - it’s connected to the heat which hardly ever seemed to come on."

"What can I say, this accommodation has been styled to absolute perfection. It is simply stunning!! The cottage shows an exceptional level of care and thoughtfulness throughout. It felt warm, cosy and immediately like a home away from home. The kitchen was exceptionally well equiped, featuring high quality utensils, a coffee machine, stunning serving bowls and a microwave that also served as an air fryer! The welcome pack was also very much appreciated.The location could not be any better, right in the centre of Richmond, it really is a "Stone's Throw" away. We only used our car once for the duration of our stay.Richmond is so beautiful, especially at this time of year. The owners left us a note telling us about the free mince pies and mulled wine in the centre which were delightful. We also took full advantage of the free guided tour of Richmond. Our guide Tom was so knowledgeable of the area and it's history.We were the first guests to stay at the cottage and we will definitely be returning. Thank you."
