We enjoyed our stay at Holly Hill Inn, the room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The view from our room was nice as we could see horses in the field and an overview of Richmond. The owner was very friendly. It is a in a good position to visit Richmond - a 10 to 15 minute walk downhill and obviously uphill on the way back! There was a slight problem regarding breakfast as we had booked our stay including breakfast. We assumed this would be a traditional cooked one, however on arrival we were informed that we had to pay more if we wanted a cooked breakfast. Atmosphère and staff friendly and helpful… phone first if you need to eat ! Room was clean beds ok and sheets although pillow had a blood stain( droplet on it) Although I paid for better room was given a cheaper one upstairs. Here the room smelt of fried cooking and bathroom whilst clean was old and mouldy in the corners .. water from shower good. I would stay in this room again at the cheaper rate. Not full . Lovely garden for dog and our furry friends welcomed by all . Breakfast good although my bacon was inedible as hard.
