"Hotel was clean, housekeeping attentive, breakfast excellent, easy beach access, only complaint is I requested a room away from the front of the hotel due to traffic noise and they put me in a room at the front of the hotel facing the road. I also asked when I was making reservations months in advance not to be put on the main floor. I was put in a room on the main floor anyway. At check in I asked them for another room. They would not give me another room. They actually gave me a room next to the check in desk, at the entrance , across from the dining room facing the main road. The staff was very nice! Other than they refused to give me another room."
Renovated Emerald Isle Cottage - Private Oceanfront Parking & Boardwalk Access

"Second stay at this cottage and it was as wonderful this time as it was the first time. The cottage is so well equipped and it is really comfortable. The beds were excellent and everything was in working order. We didn't cook as much this time but what we used was nice. There is even a drawer of spices and coffee and tea bags. Clothesline is perfect for hanging suits and beach towels. Grill outside worked great and so did the outside shower. The newer reclining couch in the sunroom was quite comfy too. Location is convenient and the private beach parking made it easy to get to the beach. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Heather for a lovely vacation cottage!"

"The house was really nice...clean and well maintained. Walk to beach is as described, 5 minutes. Another plus is the luggage/grocery elevator that was so beneficial to my old bones. Traffic noise was minimal. Enjoyed our stay and hopefully will be able to return next trip."

"My wife and I have stayed in the Emerald Isle area more than 10 times, always a house on the beach. This was the best place we have stayed so far. Great location, great view of the beach and great furnishings. The owner was easy to communicate with and very responsive. I would stay here again and highly recommend it."
