"This is a beautiful hotel, nice central location and the staff were very warm and welcoming. Our room was large, bright and well appointed (room 204). I would say there are a few things that should be considered. 1. Although the coffee and tea service in the morning was a nice touch, I am surprised that there weren't any pastries from a local bakery, or fruit or something else to snack. Breakfast isn't immediately nearby so having something with coffee/tea would be lovely. 2. Because this is an old Elks lodge (which has been beautifully restored), there aren't closets per se', The provided clothes rack is quite small and it would be helpful to have something more substantial to hang your clothes (there is even a nice I would use to construct a larger clothes rack). We were in town for a wedding and wanted more to hang our clothes on. 3. The shower is glorious and the sink area is beautifully done - but isn't very practical. Very little counter space and we had to take turns getting ready. A small vanity/desk area (with a lit mirror) next to the console below the TV would have solved the issue. Oh, and the toilet paper should be of better quality. :) Overall, it was a lovely stay and we would absolutely stay here again. There are some quirks to consider that we will remember going forward. Definitely worth consideration for your next stay in the Ventura/Santa Barbara area!!"

"The Amanzi was a great hotel. Walking distance to both downtown and the beach by the pier. The room was very clean. Although the train tracks were very close, the train only ran a few times a day and not after 10PM. The rooms are pretty well soundproofed so you could not hear the freeway noise with the AC fan running. Breakfast was OK, fresh scrambled eggs, in a big batch, bacon and sausage amongst other items. Nice underground parking which came in handy when it rained. All the staff were friendly. I would stay there again."

"The unit was very clean. The instructions for checking in were easy. It was a little hot when we got there. No A/C but we just opened windows and turned on the ceiling fans. The bathtub drain was clogged but I texted the property manager and they fixed it within a few hours. The location was amazing. Quick walk to the beach and to Main St Ventura."
