"We come up to Bend several times a year and always try to stay at the Riverhouse Lodge."

"The hotel is well maintained, and although it is next to a busy intersection, the rooms were quiet. The hotel description is a little misleading in saying that laundry facilities are available. We were advised by the front desk that they are not, although the manager will arrange for dry cleaning. When searching hotels for our stay, I had only considered hotels that said they had laundry facilities as we had been camping for a few days & I wished to wash our clothing before returning home. We ended up handwashing our clothing for the airport and hauling the rest of our used laundry home. I will say that the front desk person was very polite, understanding and cooperative, and tried to help us cancel our reservation (although we ended up staying there as I’ve heard nightmare stories about getting a refund when booking through Expedia, it sounds like many people get caught between the 2 companies (Expedia and the hotel), and I didn’t want to lose our $$. If they had not listed laundry facilities on the website, I would have given the hotel a higher rating."

"Elevator stopped working while five of us were in it. Tried to call staff to discuss issue and they refused to engage in conversation. Simply stated that help was going to come. In general staff were not prioritizing the customer experience at all. Especially During breakfast time. Overall, the hotel is nice and is clean, but the Customer service was very poor."

"I was there with my grandkids, the first night the room they put us in the t v did not work, they could not fix it.So the next day, they put us into another room and in that room the microwave didn't work. And nobody seemed to care or want to do anything about it. "

"The house was in a great neighborhood close to a park. The house accommodated us well. The only issue was there were dirty dishes in the cupboard. Other than that problem, everything else was good. "
