"It was a last minute booking. There were others staying at the same time but we were spread out enough that we only saw each other at breakfast. The breakfast was excellent and the host was there to answer questions about the area. He engaged in conversation with everyone and made you feel welcome."

"Exceptional find. The manager, Dawn, was most accommodating. Brooks, her very friendly little poodle welcomed all with delight. Rooms were clean, quiet, comfortable. Views of the mountain are sometimes possible from the deck. Most impressive breakfast. Would love staying here again."

"Neat built home right in the river and a much needed one mile walk from town after driving and eating all the towns good food! Right next to the train depot if that’s what your plans are, or good access to the min roads to get into Denali (2hr drive). I liked the welcome book and seeing all the guests that have stayed and some of the items in the house were neat and showed some of the history. A train occasionally went by but did not bother us. Great views of the river with a nice yard with tables next to the river to enjoy. "
