It was aged but was kept very good. A real traditional ryokan. The outdoor onsens were excellent. I enjoyed the onsens with the nature very much. The staff could be communicated with basic English while I couldn't speak Japanese. The Japanese style dinners were delicious and delighted. I had tasted the top quality Hida beef, as well the yummy local Hoba miso and pickles. The dinners were one of the bests I had during my 7 days tour in Takayama-Hokuriku area. Breakfasts were also nice.
