They went out of their way to answer a question we had on the origin of one of their architectural features. The breakfast was generous and tasty (we had the Japanese set). The onsen was relaxing and well equipped. The clientele when we stayed there in October was mostly foreign, so they provided extra explanation upon arrival and offered assistance as needed. The lobby was nice in the evening with complementary tea and sake tasting, with plenty of seating to relax and enjoy.
