It's important to note that in our experience there was nearly no service: when we were there we did not meet a single staff member. But for us this was fine. "All the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good and freshly made, decent beer and a relaxed vibe. Nice rural village, and a decent room. I didn't realise when I booked that it was a bath with no shower, and being over six foot, I could not stand up in the bath and use the spray attachment because of the low-sloping roof - but I still enjoyed the stay"

"Lovely place, unstaffed but easy access. Only issue was it was very hot even with a fan on a day that was 20 degrees C outside, so would be unbearable in the height of summer. Fan was in the room, but didn’t do much. Open windows wouldn’t have helped due to road noise. "

"There were ten of us (6 adults and 4 children) and we thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend together. There was plenty of space, comfortable bedrooms and everything one would expect to find in a property of this size. The outdoor games, the pool and the indoor games room were all great favourites with the children."
