Great hotel, was under renovation, but our room was excellent. The only downside was the younger adults who decided to have a party in the car park outside until 3 am in the morning! But the staff did their very best to move them on. It is a public car park for the bowling across the road. Generally, the restaurant in the hotel is better than that across the road. Quieter, and the food was very good. The pool was great for the children.

The bed was very comfortable. The health suite was very good and staff solved everything quickly. Everyone staff visitors were all smiling. Wonderful stay. Will be back soon

It was a great place to stay with free parking , in house pub , gym ( requires extra payment), swimming pool( also requires payment over the room charges). Rooms were big, comfortable, with comfortable beds, Wi-Fi, TV , and a great shower. All in all if you are not looking for extreme refinement it is a great place to stay

One lift didnt work and one was very slow. Rooms had nowhwere to hang clothes except a couple of shirts/dresses No air conditioning just a fan which just blows warm air round room - also looks like no heating for winter either! Last time I will stay here when we have good stays before. Food poor at best in Bar. Very little choice and all deep fried food. Tables appeared to take ages to be cleared of past customers plates etc. Asked well in advance when booking to have 2 rooms togetehr for elderly lady to be looked after. This did not happen. Generally the hotel has deteriated over the years since I started going there and have stayed at better places for less. Sorry very disappointed.

Big room well equipped .work being done close by other rooms bit noisy daytime.checking in bit chaotic not sure why its self service with staff on hand.be quicker and friendlier normal reception.great gym pool sauna etc . House keeping knocking on door every 20 minutes morning we left.we rushed and left a few things.not great 11 is leaving time no need to be knocking at 8.30 onwards. Nice big telly with sky sports added bonus.pretty good all in all

It’s a stop over not the best for cleanliness as there was spider webs all over the room. Weird atmosphere maybe too many weddings. The noise is extortionate especially if you get the rooms facing the car park as there are rowdy kids doing wheel spins in the car park and racing. The room near wedding guests doesnt help as you wake up at idd hours with either kids crying or banging doors with drunk people. Staff are not that great but do able if you try to smile at them.

Automated checkin - no idea why as staff are there anyway. Was pointed in direction of lists passing nothing but sweaty people coming and going from the gym. Got in lift as instructed and came out into what looked like an abandoned building. Very shabby decor. Got to room. No aircon and far too hot to stay in. Opened window but got smell of cooking. Turned around and left building asap and checked into other hotel nearby. Village clearly undergoing some sort of renovation judging by the skips outside and it badly needs it. Busy hotel but cleanliness isn’t good.

Unhelpful at reception booking in inpatient. The room was scruffy, windows full of cobwebs and bird faeces. The room was exceptionally hot and stuffy day and night. Fan supplied but did not help When asked for refresh room. Got fresh towels but no tea/coffee top ups. When mentioned to reception he said he would look into it but never bothered to take the room no. Would not stay again. 2

Great property and friendly staff. Refurbed rooms look great although the water pressure was white low. Beds are really comfortable. Only negative was no aircon, which is mitigated by fans, but the windows don't really open more than an inch (2nd floor) so impossible to get air flow. Doesn't really cater for children, with.thijgs like bed guards, considering how high the beds are

The hotel is very clean and ideally located, with shops nearby and an adventure centre with cinema and other entertainment facilities just across the road. We booked a family room and it was great, very spacious and clean. I requested a cot for my baby and it was in the room when we got there. The swimming pool and other facilities were wonderful, and we all enjoyed it. The bar/restaurant was great too and they were showing the World Cup final on the big screen which was brilliant for my husband and 10 year old who are football mad. The staff were lovely, talked us through the self check in and out. They also assisted very promptly when we realised our shower had no bodywash, just shampoo and handwash. There were a lot of positives and we’d definitely book again. The only things that let us down a bit was that the room was at the far end of the corridor so there was a lot of walking to get to it. It seems the closest exit was blocked off for some maintenance work, which we aren’t holding against them as it is temporary. It was very warm in the night and there was no where to get water, which for me as a breastfeeding mum was disappointing. I tried to message the team on the designated platform, I even went down to reception in the early hours to try and get some water but to no avail. I assumed there’d be a water dispenser or a vending machine at least. Otherwise a good stay, seems they are fixing a few things in the hotel which is promising. I would highly recommend
