Found this in "Svindal", a part of Billdal. (West Coast of Sweden). These root cellars were built to store food in an isolated cold (but not freezing) place. I must say that those old times "fridges" have a great charm! And this one is the most charming I have ever seen! They certainly knew how to design in an eco friendly way back then... Regretfully, you don´t see many of these now a days, but if you have one, do take care of it. Found this in "Svindal", a part of Billdal. (West Coast of Sweden). These root cellars were built to store food in an isolated cold (but not freezing) place. I must say that those old times "fridges" have a great charm! And this one is the most charming I have ever seen! They certainly knew how to design in an eco friendly way back then... Regretfully, you don´t see many of these now a days, but if you have one, do take care of it.
