Panoramic View Steps from Beach - 4BD/4.5BA with Private Swimming Pool

Wake up and enjoy a morning coffee or mimosa on the front porch, a walk on the beach, or a stroll around the private paths of the neighborhood to the Intracoastal Waterway and inlet. This distinctive Holden Beach home offers a private pool and is located directly across from public beach access... the perfect setup for many fond vacation memories!

A spacious open floor plan greets you at the entrance with cathedral ceilings, picture windows, a wet bar and well-equipped kitchen. Enjoy 4 spacious bedrooms (3 king bedrooms, 1 bedroom with 2 queens), 4 full bathrooms, a cozy loft with 1 queen, several outdoor areas, private pool, an outdoor shower, and a poolside half bath.

First floor:
• King bedroom, ensuite bath with large tub
• King bedroom, full bath located in first floor hallway

Second floor:
• Queen/Queen bedroom, ensuite bath
• King bedroom with balcony, full bath located in second floor hallway
• Queen bed in very cozy loft

The outdoor spaces are a great retreat after a day on the beach. Our rocking chairs invite you to enjoy the views from the covered front porch any time of day. An outdoor shower makes rinsing off a breeze.

The private swimming pool is overlooked by a wrap-around porch and poolside half bath. The pool can be heated during certain times of year (inquire for more details).

A poolside, built-in brick barbecue and screened-in dining area provide the perfect setup for dining in.

This home is located in an oceanfront gated community at the east end of the island. You have access to the beach, inlet, and Intracoastal Waterway using the private paths from within the community as well as public beach access directly across the street.

Dunescape community: Amenities include tennis, basketball, and beach volleyball courts, as well as a community pool (which is in addition to our private pool).

Accessibility: Our home has several sets of steps leading to the entrances. The beach access directly across the street requires ascending and then descending a set of steps over the dune; however, there is another beach access just down the street which does not require steps (at the east end public parking). Please do not hesitate to inquire about any additional specifics.

Beach items and garage access: Guests have access to the garage and the beach chairs, etc. stored within the garage. There are sufficient beach chairs for the home's guest capacity. We have a beach wagon available for guest use as well as some beach toys. Note: Guests must use the front door with a unique code to enter the property.

Bed Linens and Bath Towels: Yes, we provide them! They will be delivered to the front door for you by our service provider by 4PM on check-in day.

Televisions: Each bedroom has its own TV in addition to the one in the main living area. Our cable provider's box allows you to sign in to your streaming apps.

Coffee: We have a regular drip coffee maker as well as a single pod (k-cup) coffee maker.

Golf carts and bikes: There are several companies who rent items like bicycles or street-legal golf carts and will deliver to the house on your check-in day. We are happy to provide recommendations upon request.

Airports: Wilmington (ILM) is the closest airport to Holden Beach. Myrtle Beach (MYR) is not much farther away, in the opposite direction. We would definitely recommend renting a car if flying in.

Wonderful family vacation

We couldn’t have been more pleased with this rental. The description is spot on and the communication excellent. By far one of the best family vacations so far and the large private pool was a big hit! Well appointed kitchen and even had plenty of beach chairs to use while at the beach. The views are panoramic with gorgeous sunrise and sunsets.

Family Gathering

This was the perfect spot for us to gather with our adult children. There are plenty of activities including the pool and nearby tennis courts. The home is stocked with everything you could possibly need. It has great access to the beach. We would love to vacation here again.

Nicely kept home and property. Beautiful views of sunsets and sunrises. Wonderful pool with plenty of chairs (there is even an outdoor half bath, something you don't usually have) and a big outdoor grill. Very close to beach access. Quiet section of the beach. Everyone in my group liked the house and would rent it again.

Best Vacation Rental Ever

This beautiful home provided us with the best vacation ever! The home has everything you could possibly need for your stay. The pictures are very accurate. The pool was wonderful to have and the beach access was easy. Having three different porches made for the perfect sitting to see sunrises and sunsets. The homeowners were very responsive! We are looking forward to staying here again!

Pure Perfection

Great beach getaway

Overall we really enjoyed our stay here very much. It's an excellent location with lots of privacy and peace. The local food was great - we didn't cook a lot, but the kitchen seemed well-stocked and we used the charcoal grill out back once. We really enjoyed the deck spaces and the pool. The few minor hiccups we experienced were dealt with quickly by the owners. Overall would recommend!!

This house was absolutely beautiful. Very clean and was supplied with everything we needed. We didnt have any issues at all with this rental, everything was just perfect. Location being just across the road from the beach made it very convenient just to walk accross. Thank you so much for a wonderful spring break for my family!!

One of the best appointed houses we’ve ever stayed in!!!! The pool was wonderful and private. So glad we got it heated. Was a fabulous thing to have in the evening, and was a great comfortable temp for the 3 year old and the two one year old grandbabies. Beds were comfortable and house was very quiet(couldn’t hear the babies cry st night!). The location is amazing! Always worried about walk to beach. even though is across the street, there are houses ocean front that have a longer walk than this house has. One porch with porch swing and heavy duty rockers. One porch with screened in dining and one porch overlooking the pool. Even the pool seating is super nice composite chairs. Kitchen was super stocked with everything you need to cook with and so stocked with plastic drink ware. Even found outlet covers and cabinet locks for child safety. Two baby gates! Hope to get to stay here again!!!

Holden Beach

It was our first time visiting Holden Beach. The house was amazing. It is well stocked with pool and beach accessories, even pickleball. I spoke with a few other people on the beach and they had to bring many things that we did not. Courtney responded immediately to messages and was kind even though I was delirious after the 11 hour car ride to get there. Everything was perfect.

Great Choice!

The home sits beautifully on top of the hill with a great view of the sunrise, sunset and ocean. Access to the beach was close and easy to get to. The location provides privacy and away from the busy hussle and bussle of the area. The home is spacious, and comfortable for a 3 generation family vacation. The accommodations in the home were great and most everything you need in the kitchen is provided. The pool is beautiful and the seating options on the porches and deck are great. I love how there is a table to have a meal together inside, outside or on the screened in porch! What a great place! Thanks for making our time in Holden Beach a great and memorable one!

Great Beach Week!

This was a great house for a multi-family beach week! The walk over to the beach was super easy as access is directly across the street. Note - there is no ramp, stairs only, so you do have to carry wagons, strollers, etc. up and down stairs. The home was clean and the layout worked well for multiple families. We enjoyed hanging on the screened-in porch at night. We especially loved the location of the property. The neighborhood is super quiet (no traffic) and we enjoyed strolling the kiddos for morning walks. Being at the end of the island, the beach was also not crowded, with plenty of space and room for kids to run and play. Thanks for a great week!

2023 Vacay

This was hands down the most beautiful house we have ever rented. It was clean… decorated beautifully… and the kitchen was so nicely stocked with everything we needed to cook. The pool was delightful and the walk to the beach was super easy and quick. The area was quiet and private which is exactly what we wanted. Communication with the owners was easy and the one small item we needed to be taken care of was taken care quickly. The only thing I would suggest is that you bring a fan with you…. The two bedrooms downstairs got really warm overnight…. I would highly recommend this home for your next vacation. We are already trying to book this very same place for next year!! Thank you so much for helping to make this the best beach trip ever!

Beautiful home with great location near beach

The house was very clean, spacious and located a short walk from the beach. We enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the front of the house looking at the ocean. We were there for a hatching of turtles and got to see one of them make it into the water. There were many shells on the far left side of the beach. It was about a 10-15 minute walk to the end of the island where the best shells were. We enjoyed visits to Southport, Wilmington , Calanash , Oak Island and Bald Head Island. We had a very good meal at the Castaway restaurant. The pool was cleaned regularly and was nice to have even though it was too chilly to swim. The ocean on the other hand was warm and enjoyable to walk along the surf. The rooms were all large, the beds comfortable and the kitchen very convenient. We would rent this home again.

Great stay at Dunescape!

Great home, great location! House was clean and we got in early which is always a plus. The check-in and check-out process was easy and smooth and the owners communication was great during the week when we had questions. We liked the house so much we already reserved it for next year.

A very warm and welcoming experience at Southern Comfort! The home is perfect for family and friends, and is well maintained, along with a beautiful pool and barbecue. Great family property at Holden Beach

Our family of 6 adults and 2 grandchildren loved staying here. The screened in porch was a great place for outdoor meals. We enjoyed the views of the beach and the marsh from the great room, as well as the beautiful sunsets from the back deck. The kids loved the pool. The walk to the beach is very short - not much longer than oceanfront places we have stayed in the past. The beach was wide with shallow waters. The owners were quickly responsive to questions. We highly recommend and would stay here again.
