The cabin is spacious, comfortably furnished featuring gleaming hardwood floors, and wood interiors, with lake view from the back of the cabin. All brand-new beds throughout the house and a seven person hot tub! There are just three steps from the level parking area in front of the cabin to the front porch. The main level includes a great room with a soaring stone wood-burning fireplace and cathedral ceiling. (firewood only provided in winter months) The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen and connects to the screened porch via French doors. The amply appointed kitchen has an island with barstools, and plenty of kitchen implements for the avid cook, including an immersion blender, chocolate fondue pot, crockpot, and coffee grinder, a single serve Keurig, a drip coffee maker, a wooden high chair for the little ones, and outdoor gas grill. There are four TVs throughout the cabin with Direct TV service, a Bose radio/CD player, and plenty of DVDs and games and puzzles (in the green chest in the main level great room). Down the hall is a king bedroom with a TV, a bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and separate shower, and a washer-dryer in the closet area. Downstairs is another great room with a TV, with a propane gas fireplace, ample seating, a pool table, a wet bar with a mini fridge, and French doors leading out to another large deck with a hot tub. There is a queen bedroom, and a spacious bathroom with a shower on this level. Upstairs from the main level is a large loft area with twin beds, overlooking the main level great room; as well as a bedroom with a king bed and a jack and jill bathroom with combination tub/shower. The loft space can also be utilized as a work from home space with a comfortable sofa, wi-fi, side table and lamp. There is also another bedroom with a king bed and TV. Extras include hair dryers, bathroom nightlights, and USB ports in all bedside lamps. Bath towels, hand towels and washcloths are all provided, but remember to bring your towel for the hot tub. There is also a washer dryer for your convenience and we provide a weekend's worth of toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent (2 packs), tissues, small bath soaps, shower gel, lotion and trash bags to get you started for your stay. The screened porch and decks have ample seating (with several new Adirondack chairs on the downstairs level), and there is a gas grill on the side deck. Beautiful lake views from all decks! Amenities: Guests of the Lakes Community have access to stocked catch-and-release ponds and a playground and tennis courts in the Seven Devils Community. Location: Conveniently located in Seven Devils, between the towns of Banner Elk and Boone, this cabin is in the shadow of Grandfather Mountain and Sugar Mountain. Just a few minutes away from the popular Otter Falls, Hawksnest snowtubing and zip lining, Grandfather Winery, Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, and the Foscoe Gem Mining company – – something for everyone! This lakefront log cabin is centrally located between two major ski resorts, 15 minutes from Sugar Mountain, and 30 minutes from both Beech Mountain, and in the opposite direction, Boone Appalachian Mountain Ski Resort. Nearby downtown Banner Elk offers shopping, art galleries, and delicious restaurants and coffee shops. Hop on the Blue Ridge Parkway to explore hiking trails, waterfalls, and breathtaking mountain vistas. BUT...BEWARE IF RENTING IN THE HEAT OF THE SUMMER...THERE IS NO A/C!!! It is my fault that if did not notice that while planning our stay. I did not realize it until the email from rental company that came a few days before our trip. Nights were miserable due to the heat, especially on bottom and top floors. This would be an amazing home to rent in the winter, spring and fall. Other than the temp, the cabin is amazing! ##### Christy M. Clean and well equipped. Perfectly located between Boone Golf Club and Mountain Glen Golf Course. Both nice tracks. Would rent again. ##### Matthew W. I definitely do NOT recommend this cabin!First, read the full description because the cabin has no AC. It was very hot and humid in the cabin, even with ceiling fans on and blinds closed. We even tried opening screened windows and doors (per owner’s suggestion) and it did not cool off. Temps reached 87 degrees in the bedrooms, which is absolutely not healthy! Some of the ceiling fans could not be put on high because they were so loud and rickety. One fan was still on winter setting and the blades were the wrong way. One of my kids got heat sickness and was frequently nauseous and throwing up. The owner even knew my kid had heat sickness, and didn’t even have the decency to respond when she found out. How kind…not!Secondly, the beds are super uncomfortable and hard, and pillows have zero support. Our four night stay was the most uncomfortable sleep of my life (and I’ve been a camp counselor and slept in the mountains with just a sleeping bag). Next there were multiple spiderwebs in the rooms that had to be knocked down.Also, neither the owners of the cabin, nor the rental company who manages the property were helpful. They offered apologies, but no solutions. They could have offered a discount, a gift certificate, anything to help. Now it is on me for not seeing there was no AC, but everything else, that’s on them. Make your home comfortable and inviting, provide solutions, be kind, and people will return. The lack of care for customers was very disappointing! ##### Larissa C. House was exactly as pictured and described. Lots of room for our party of 5! Hot tub was amazing, enjoyed the pool table, and fishing in the pond was fun for the kids!
