The Ansonborough
10/10 Excellent
"I booked an ADA suite and it was HUGE. It was perfect for my post-op sister. It was decorated nicely, The hotel is right across from a grocery store, which was great so I could keep the mini fridge stocked. It was also across from 167 Raw, which is a fantastic seafood spot in Charleston. The area was quiet, the staff were friendly, and the hotel was cute and a vibe. The breakfast was standard hotel fare, I wish they had more seating. The rooftop was adorable. I liked that it was a bit off of the standard downtown Charleston beaten path. I would definitely stay here again."

"The hotel is a lovely old classic in the middle of downtown Charleston. I highly recommend it. The bathroom fixture are a bit aged but functioning well. Everything else was perfect."

"The room was very clean. Kelli at the front desk was Great. She was very helpful with where to eat and what to do, a real genuine people person, as was Rachael at the bar. She is the sweetest young woman and also suggested a trip to Folly Beach. There was plenty of parking. The gym looked well maintained, but we never went in. As for the pool, it was murky and did not look too inviting, so we steered clear of it. It also would have been nice to have a large container of fresh, ice water with a spigot to self-serve available in the lobby for guests without having to pay $2.00 for a bottle of water."

"I had a wonderful stay at The Charleston Place. The hotel is beautiful, elegant, and very clean, with fresh flowers and beautiful greenery throughout the property that create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The location is excellent, right in the heart of historic Charleston, making it very convenient to explore the city on foot. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, and always made us feel welcome. I also loved the beautiful lobby and the overall attention to detail throughout the hotel. It was a lovely experience, and I would happily stay here again."
