The girls really looked after us, and we felt lucky to have such great and helpful staff! Although room was clean and tidy, it had a fausty smell, which I think was coming from bathroom, and the bedroom smelled of grease that was coming from a build up from the kitchen below. That being said the restaurant is great and food amazing! The food was excellent, we had a couple on drinks, we were then shown to our room, which was spotless and spacious. We came back down for a drink before heading out for the evening, Saturday morning we came down for breakfast and once again was greeted by a friendly chef, the food was delicious and hot, with plenty on toast, coffee and fresh juice, the owner (Sarah) arrived, we then new why all the staff was so warm and friendly. I used to stay here monthly on business as it is a pub with a high calibre standard for customer services. The food is outstanding and rooms are outstandingly clean, well provided with a Bluetooth speaker, Flat screen tv, seats and a coffee pod machine. The breakfast in the morning is a 1st class with fresh ingredients, toast and or coffee and juice. I used to stay before Covid. We walked from the train station to the hotel and it was too far , very hilly. However, when we reach the hotel it was nice, an older building but clean and well kept up. Up. The food was great in the restaurant.
