"A lovely hotel with delicious food and a beautiful, peaceful setting. You should stay here. We stayed in a little stone cottage separate from the hotel an easy 5-minute walk up the hill. It used to be the dog kennels. In fact, the low stone walls topped with iron fencing that served as the two outside pens of the kennel are still there, as are the doggie doors -- tho’ these are firmly closed. "Great stay, great location (close to shops and sites). The only issue I had was that google took me to a different destination. My friend who lives there and went to pick me up had the same issue. So you'll have to walk / drive around for a bit, get confused, a bit lost... until you find it in a courtyard! It is literally across from Maggie's Grill (great food!). The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast wasn't bad but could improve a bit with healthier options like boil eggs, seeds, avocados, gluten free options but overall it was good."

"The hotel was comfortable and the staff when we checked in were helpful and nice. It was tipping with rain in the morning, so we ask the man on reception to call a taxi. I asked him 5 mins later how long it would be. He said five ten mins. After another 10mins I asked him if he could check on where it was. Turns out he never called for one and got quite argumentative about it. At this point he was being left in charge of the building, but only just being shown how the fire panel worked. Glad I was leaving at that point."
