This is the second time we've stayed in a Microtel and we've been disappointed both times. This hotel was old and in need of updates and a DEEP cleaning. The bathroom was completely disgusting - hair in the sink, water spots on the faucet and mirror, splatters on the walls, mold in the tub and on the shower curtain. We didn't even attempt to take a shower because it looked very dirty in there. The bed was okay and the temp of the room was fine, but it was VERY loud. The description said there were soundproof walls, but that was FAR from the truth. We could hear the conversation from the room next door, doors slamming down the hall all night, a dog barking across the hall. We were on a road trip, so we arrived around 10 pm and tried to get some sleep before hitting the road again. We were awake at 5 am, due to the people next door talking and turning on the shower, so we got up and left at that point. We will not be staying at a Microtel again. There are plenty of hotels for $10-15 more per night that are SIGNIFICANTLY cleaner, quieter and more comfortable."
