"Good Location and a 30 min walk to the city centre"
Clean Room, tea facilities standard. Would have preferred a soap bar instead of a pump soap on the Wall, Breakfast very Steed so Went elsewhere for breakfast

"Hotel, not motel"
This is a modern, trendy and functional hotel. As of Feb 2017 everything is new, well maintained, and clean. My room was very large and the communal spaces are vibrant and welcoming. The room facilities are somewhat sparse - no wardrobe (despite plenty of space in the room) so anything more than 1-2 nights for 1 person would be challenging for storage. There are also no phones in the room, or fridge, safe, etc. There was a service to deliver Iron/ironing board to the room. Bed was comfortable, furnishings functional but gently stylish, nice big towels.

"Lovely room - no need to upgrade!"
My husband and I had a lovely stay, albeit short. Perfect location when going to a concert at the Echo Arena - short brisk walk. The cocktails at the bar were lovely, and the breakfast was great too. Eggs Benedict with bacon, followed by home made granola and some fruit. Nice! We parked overnight at the multi storey across the road which was really convenient @ £15. Midnight room service was a bit disappointing.... they only had cheese toasties left.... but that was our own fault for not eating earlier...we were too into the cocktails. HA. The reception area is lovely and modern, and all in all we would definitely return.

Adelphi Hotel & Spa

"Much better if they bothered"
The Adelphi is one of Liverpool's grandest hotels, occupying a fine spot next to Lime St railway terminus, ideally placed for St George's Hall, Walker Gallery, World Museum, and the Royal Court and Empire theatres, all within a couple of minutes walk. Fifteen minutes from the Waterfront and the other way, the two cathedrals and the Philharmonic Hall. Shame this seems to have worked to its detriment - I get the feeling that Britannia think we'll just come as long as they open the doors and change the sheets. When I arrived it was in the teeth of Storm Doris and a lot of people making additional bookings owing to disrupted travel plans. It doesn't excuse the fact that there was nobody on the desk for a couple of minutes. I was greeted, not welcomed, and given my key wrapped in a torn piece of paper with the room number scribbled on it. No instructions for breakfast or Wifi. The room was compact, with double exterior doors. It had tired decoration and dusty on top surfaces and behind furniture. The phone socket was hanging off under the bed ,and edging off the shelf in the bathroom. It was warm enough though without heating. I overslept a little and next morning the maid knocked, shouted and walked straight in at 8.45 (a common occurrence according to friends). The double door meant I couldn't tell if she was at my door or not. I didn't linger for breakfast next morning and nobody was interested enough to ask if I'd enjoyed my stay. Lacklustre at best.

"The room was very clean and staff was friendly"
Right in the heart of the city and convenient for sightseeing, shopping and restaurants. This hotel was also close to the University of Liverpool which we were there for graduation. I would definitely recommend this Hotel to others.
