The Little Yellow Cottage has a relaxing layout with one king bedroom, 1 bedroom with a twin day bed, full kitchen, cheerful dining, cozy living space, large front porch, and fenced courtyard in the back. You will be enamored by the historic detail in the master bathroom and throughout the entire home! Every detail has been thought of! Enjoy the restored original hardwood floors, clean and cozy furniture, and retro/historic details. Cook "at home" in the fully stocked kitchen, and rest well with crisp white linens and soft bath towels which are provided for you. A morning cup of coffee in the private courtyard will taste great just before heading out to explore. However, the living room was sufficient for our purpose and it was in decent shape. That said, I believe I was lied to multiple times by the property management company. 1st concerning my ability to check in early. (which I don't believe was ever a possibility". 2nd about "Family" of the owner (later i was told the actual owner). 1st they were just "parking" then they were worried about water from high tides. It was strange at best. The tides have been high for weeks, and they just had cleaners there who would have been able to communicate any issues. (since I couldn't check in early, cleaners had to of been there Friday right? ) Outside of my dislike of the property managements communication, while the house was OK, it was so un-level it made you walk funny. The floors were so tilted, several tables, and the beds, had to have pieces of wood under the feet on 1 side, to raise them up to the level of the other side of the furniture. I get it, its old, but it was a 2 inch difference from one side of the room to the other. Crazy. Ok, so maybe that is just part of an old house.. The floors in the kitchen, laundry and other areas are linoleum. that is dirty, very worn, cracking and falling apart. Even missing in some areas. The Dishwasher has grime around it. Water/mold spots in bathrooms. Railing completely rotten and disconnected. Our entire visit to the area was wonderful and the house and location were excellent. We were able to walk to almost every destination. It has been some what remodeled, but could use more. The wood floors in the living and dining room have been refinished and the bedroom has new floors. However, the linoleum in the kitchen needs replacing. It is old, chipped and dirty looking, as are the baseboards. But the house was not dirty. Everything was very clean. But the old linoleum makes it look dirty. The shower head needs a serious deliming. Having said that the kitchen was extremely well stocked! Also the communication with David was amazing. He was quick to answer any questions. We travel all over the world, so feel it is important to be honest, as I rely on the reviews. ##### Kim R.
