"The setting of this hotel is beautiful, and as long as you have a car, it’s easy to get around - we used it for a base for the Galway area. Our stay included breakfast, which was lovely. We even had it in our room one day. A few draw backs for us was: the front desk staff, who were pretty rude and unhelpful when we checked in (but we are used to American level of friendliness of service) Also how early everything closed, the kitchen closes at nine even on a weekend… I wish we had known…"

"We had a lovely stay at the Bay Area House! It was a perfect home base for our multi-generational trip. The hosts were fantastic with communication and offers of support throughout our stay. The house was clean and well appointed, exactly as it was represented in the listing. "

"We both had a wonderful 1 year wedding anniversary stay here! Joyce was a fantastic host and made us and our 2 dogs feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The mountains and ocean was visible from our bedroom in the distance. The apartment was spotless clean. Joyce had champagne and an anniversary card on the kitchen table when we arrived which we thought was a very kind gesture. Padracin pub and restaurant was a 5 minute walk from apartment, their food and drink was top notch! Galway city was a short 20 minute drive, which was handy. We explored one of the Arran islands (inis mor), it was only a 30 minute drive to the docks. Highly reccomend staying at this apartment, we’ll hopefully get a trip out again sometime Courtney and Chris x"

"Simple instructions for access, just a bit difficult getting in the front door. Everything was lovely inside. Simply furnished. Bed was comfy and warm. Very roomy for the 6 of us. Wish there were a few more pans. "

The home itself was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. It was the perfect place to unwind and take in the natural beauty around us. We truly didn’t want to leave and would love to return someday! Overall, it was a fantastic experience!"

"John is a perfect host and very attentive. As he is living next door he can fix things in no time. The house is spacious, very clean and provides enough room for rainy days with a group. The four bathrooms help you with that. The lovely beach An tra mhór is very close and so is the shop. Galway is a 25 minute drive and the westcoast at a nice day trip easily reached. Although the house fits seven you need to take note that the two twin beds are not too wide. So they cozy -)"
