"I am writing to express my absolute disgust with the state of the room I was assigned at your property. For the price paid, the lack of basic cleanliness and functional amenities is completely unacceptable. The room was filthy and clearly skipped any decent inspection before I checked in. I have documented several major issues, which I expect you to review immediately: * **Stained and Dirty Bedding:** The mattress pad/protector is covered in visible stains and hair. There are even questionable red marks on the sheets. It is completely repulsive to think your staff expects guests to sleep in these conditions. * **Debris and Trash Left Behind:** There is a pile of crumbs and debris left unvacuumed on the carpet by the furniture. Furthermore, a clump of hair or dust was left sitting out on the patterned upholstery. * **Leftover Items in Drawers:** Your housekeeping team clearly didn't even bother to open the drawers, as evidenced by the condoms left behind by a previous guest. * **Useless Tech/Charging Ports:** In addition to the room being a health hazard, there are absolutely no modern charging ports available. To make matters worse, the USB ports on the bedside alarm clock are completely dead and broken. I did not pay to stay in a dirty, unvetted room with broken amenities. I expect a prompt response detailing how you intend to address this abysmal service and what compensation you will be issuing for this experience."

"So. Front desk guy was completely nice and helpful. Room was nice and clean with first impression. Then I had to pull the bed away from the wall to get something that had fallen. That’s when I notice a half eaten piece of bread and what appeared to be a mouse trap about a foot way. And I am pretty sure those beds have been pulled away from or moved since they built the building. Still some drywall dust on the carpet. Under the bread and mouse trap."

"The Hyatt Place Bloomington is a clean and nice facility with many good amenities and a friendly staff. Its located in downtown near many good restaurants, places to drink, shopping and more. However, if you're not familiar with downtown Bloomington then you'll quickly realize this is located on a very busy street in the heart of downtown and right above a late night bar. So, the noise level is high until 2-3am when the bar closes, drunk people leave and road noise subsides. Additionally, the noise inside the hotel is almost as bad, from the very loud AC units/ to mini fridges humming all night/ to thin walls and disrespectful patrons. And, as nice as it is to have breakfast included this is not one that anyone will write home about with exception of maybe the French toast sticks that were fairly tasty without syrup. Go elsewhere for coffee. Lastly, and probably worst of all, was how horrible the bed was. I upgraded to a high floor room and got a King bed that I sunk into and could feel the springs like it was a pull-out couch mattress. The worn springs made noise from any movement. I definitely did not get a good sleep any of the nights. I likely could have asked to move rooms and expect improved accommodations but the effort to move and get equal or worse wasnt worth it for 3nts. I just won't be coming back to this hotel. Good luck if you stay here."

"It is a really cute boutique hotel (not a big chain) with wonderful warm and welcoming staff. Keep in mind that this is an older place with lots of history. The place is well maintained and clean. But it is not 100% perfect like a big chain. We were surprised by how quiet it was. The place was full when we were there. We could hear guests opening and closing their doors, but everyone was very respectful of their neighbors. You get a different treat (cookies) every day and they are delicious. Breakfast is awesome. Some warm options, different kinds of breads, yogurts, fruits. Plenty of parking spaces. Walkable to downtown where you have many food options for lunch or dinner. The only negative was the AC is a bit loud. Not much of an issue for us because we are used to live without it but those who can’t pick your poison(heat or noice 😉) Enjoy your stay there. For us, it made a great difference in our stay in Bloomington."
