"We stayed in the l'ovile cottage and it was perfect for our needs. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed having breakfast outside overlooking the olive trees. Make sure to give yourself an afternoon or two to enjoy lounging at the pool. Our host, Nadia, was very attentive and even helped us with restaurant recommendations. The home is a little outside of town so you can't walk to any attractions, but it was easy to get to a grocery and to Spello. The only suggestion to make our stay better...

"The Spello House was perfect for our family of five! So clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated! Our host, Monica, went above and beyond to welcome us and treated us like family! She stocked the pantry and fridge for us, recommended some amazing places for us to visit and eat at, and set up two excursions for us. She is the best host we have ever had at a rental and Spello House was our favorite place we stayed during our Italian adventures. We hope we get to come back someday!"

"What a lovely home, perfectly situated in a beautiful town in such an amazing region. A great base from which to explore Umbria. We stayed 5 nights but would loved to have stayed 2 weeks. Maybe next time! Thanks to our host Andrea for making us feel welcome and providing great tips. For the uninitiated in old towns, if you plan to drive, navigating narrow streets of Spello can be very stressful and finding this house was quite tricky (but well worth it). "The property is on the side of a steep slope, very isolated in the middle of an olive orchard. It takes10 - 15 minutes to drive from the village. The major downside is that it is dark with tiny windows showing almost no view. Everything worked. The kitchen could use new utensils. The internet connection was intermittent and didn't work downstairs. There was an extra charge for gas for heating, not mentioned in the web site. The owner was friendly and professional. The electrical plugs did not...

"Check-in was nice and we were greeted with a warm welcome. There is no-where to get lunch however and the restaurant is closed on a Monday night which we weren't aware of, so had to drive out to get food in Spello near by. We had drinks around the pool which were slightly higher in price then we were expecting and had paid at similar properties. The rooms were spacious enough and clean, the "living room" was just a table and a chair and seemed a bit cold and pointless as a useable area...
