"We absolutely loved our stay at the historic Strater Hotel during spring break. Such a unique experience from start to finish. The hotel is full of charm, character, and incredible history, it truly feels like stepping back in time in the best possible way. The rooms, the atmosphere, the saloon, the beautiful Victorian details… every part of the property made the stay memorable. But what really made it special was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our trip. If you’re visiting Durango and want something beyond a typical hotel stay, this place is absolutely worth it. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip to Colorado!"

"Room was a room. Bed seemed cleaned but bathroom was less than. Chunks of hair somehow stuck to ceiling. Stains of something on lamps. Could have used some lysol wipes. Listen the view is great - but be prepared. "

"Pool definitely needed a good scrubbing and there's a sauna, no hot tub - lots of wet towels laying around when I walked through to look, did not swim. Rooms have carpet, should look at upgrade to flooring, ours seemed clean enough. Breakfast area needs more tables, larger groups had to sit apart. The food was good though, staff here & front desk were helpful."
