Iberostar Waves Creta Panorama & Mare
4.0 star property
Mylopotamos
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (297 reviews)
"Very good and family friendly experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, overall an excellent stay. The only complaint would be that dinner at 2 of the 4 restaurants felt a little like a conveyor belt where the priority seemed to be getting us fed and out as quickly as possible rather than having us enjoy the dining experience. With that said the experience at the other 2 restaurants was excellent."

"We had an amazing time everything from the transfers to and from the airport to the hotel, to the hotel itself just couldn’t fault anything. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and they were so friendly. This was the first time going all inclusive we couldn’t have chosen a better place the food was so nice and so much choice. The hotel was very clean and tidy the grounds were well maintained. We will be staying here again in the future."

4.0 star property
Mylopotamos
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (24 reviews)
"I wouldn’t go to all inclusive to Greece again, maybe just with breakfast included for convenience, because the food outside in the restaurants is muuuch much much better and that’s one of the ways to experience Greece. The quality was ok, but nothing compared to traditional amazing flavours in the restaurants. Also the prices of food in the restaurants is very reasonable, 40-65eur for 2 people you fill your tummies :)"

Not at all the properties fault but it rained 2 of the 4 days we stayed at this resort. A lot of this resorts amenities (ping pong, full size chess) and even some of the a la carte restaurants do not operate when it's raining. And with everyone needing to be inside, the common area's felt a bit cramped."

Top Skepastí Hotel Reviews

Nautilux Rethymno by Mage Hotels

Nautilux Rethymno by Mage Hotels

8/10 Good
"Over all hotel is nice , Everyone working here was nice and kind . Anyhow for 5 star hotel shower enclosure is only 2 stars…. It is no door from living area to the bathroom,so it is crazy cold when you get out from the shower, and enclosure itself is ridiculously uncomfortable, Other thing -guests are allowed to smoke in a balcony,no separation between smoking and nonsmoking rooms,so you will smell disgusting cigarette smoke all day long… Also -5 star hotel does not have heated pool ,so October 12 th pool temperature was 15 degrees Celsius-that is absolutely ridiculous…please invest some money for your pool heating,so guests, who paid for 5 star hotel can enjoy it …"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Skepastí?
The best area to stay in Skepastí is in the village centre itself, particularly for those who appreciate convenience and a local feel.

Skepastí is a small, traditional Cretan village. Its centre is compact, with the main square often being the heart of activity, surrounded by local tavernas and small shops. You'll find a church and the community's primary gathering spots here. The village is located amongst olive groves, offering a sense of rural tranquillity.

Couples looking for a relaxing and authentic experience will find the village centre appealing. You're within easy walking distance of local eateries, allowing you to enjoy traditional Cretan cuisine and local hospitality without needing to travel far. It's an ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside, perhaps with gentle walks through the olive groves.

For families, staying in or very close to the village centre offers a practical advantage. The central location means amenities are close by, and children can experience a slice of local life.
When is the best time to go to Skepastí?
The best time to visit Skepastí is during the shoulder seasons of May, June, September, and October.

These months offer warm, pleasant weather with less intense heat than mid-summer, making it ideal for exploring the village and its surroundings. You'll find the sea warm enough for swimming, and the natural beauty of Crete is at its peak with lush landscapes in spring and a golden glow in autumn. Fewer crowds also mean a more relaxed experience and better availability for accommodations and popular activities.

For those looking to enjoy the beaches and outdoor activities without the peak season rush, May and June are perfect. The wildflowers are in bloom, and the island is fresh and green.

September and October are excellent for travellers who prefer slightly cooler temperatures and a more tranquil atmosphere.
