The dining area is very clean and helpful staff. Our room was basic with an kingsize bed and 1 single bed. I was pleasantly surprised with the food, it was always fresh, tasted good and selection/variety was impressive. Buffet always clean, and well maintained. The views from this hotel are mesmerizing, sunrise and sunsets are beautiful. The only minus for us was that if you want to go to the beach you need to pay for lounge chairs, it wasn’t very expensive. The beaches near the hotel are kinda rocky, if you want a nice sandy beach there is Agia Pelagia Beach, it’s 10 min drive. The housekeeping lady in our section was so friendly and helpful. In general all hotel staff was very friendly, we had no issues. It was so large that there was a whole other pool and another beach we didn’t even discover until the night before our last day. Be sure to go on all the elevators as they take you to different places. A rental car place and an ATV Quad excursion is economical and within walking distance to the resort. There’s also a seaside village not far from the resort with amazing restaurants and shopping. We walked to it and took a taxi back. The taxi ride back was only 10 Euros. A taxi from the airport to the resort was about 30 min and 45 Euros. I recommend coordinating with the resort to schedule your pickup prior to your arrival. Staff was excellent and accommodating. Rooms were comfortable and air conditioned. Get a room with a private pool in it. The first time visiting Crete and they made our experience wonderful. The staff was very accommodating and always on hand to help. We had hoped to visit some of the local areas but the transport wasn’t the easiest unless you were going from Heraklion. Our toiletries also weren’t ever replenished, which was a little disappointing but the overall environment, food and even entertainment was lovely. We couldn‘t recommend enough this place! The hotel staff are always willing to help and solve. We fell ill and the staff quickly helped us find a doctor and also helped us cooking special food. They also immediately provided support with our booking, as a consequence of the mistake made by Expedia. Food was great and every day you can find something different, we were too unlucky we couldn‘t try them after we became ill, but even the diet food was great. The hotel was fully booked but never felt like it was. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only negative point worth mentioning is that the hotel has a huge focus on French and French speakers which is off putting for non French speakers. In the evenings the entertainment was done in French with a few words translated into English. It felt like we were on holiday in France.
