"We paid for ocean view but they put us on floor 2\. You definitely don’t have a view from there though. Be sure to ask for floor 4 or 5\. Out toilet broke on the night and they did try to fix it. Was not repaired till next morning. That was good but they might have offered us a different room since the toilet did not work all night long. Not terrible but I think they should have offered. The hotel was not that busy. Besides the toilet problem it was a very nice stay. "

"The propery is located next to the port but the views are only for one of the 4 sides of the building. This is one of the oldest hotels in the area and definately not a 5 star . Hallways are dark to hide the worn off carpet. Rooms are minimalistic. We had an issue with climate contol since they are using central heat and the temperature was too high in the room and could not be lowered. If you opened the windows all you heard was the ferry loudspeakers or the stray dogs barking in the vacant lots adjacent to the hotel. When we complained they delivered a fan to the room which is something i would expect from a cheap hostel . We decided to leave 2 hours in our stay and they would not reimburse the stay ( no A/C is a problem ). They offered a higher floor but still not good because heat rises and the neighborhood is still noisy . Feels more like a cheap 3 star definately not 5\. "

"I have stayed in a lot of hotels including 5 star. The Menta City Hotel rates right at the top of my list. We stayed in the Junior Suite with Jacuzzi, the decoration was stylish, as it was throughout the hotel. We had amazing views of the sea from our balcony and I could not fault anything. Good choice of breakfast from the rooftop restaurant with stunning views. Staff were excellent, George on reception was very helpful and also made the best cocktail. Would I recommend this hotel? I certainly would and I look forward to my next visit."

"Let’s start with the many positives of this experience: - location is excellent, a few steps from the beach and with bars and shops on your doorstep - rooms are very big and have a balcony, good air-conditioning and a safe - beds are long - shower pressure is excellent, the olive oil toiletries too - everything feels very clean and tidy - the pool area has many sun-beds - staff is polite and friendly and there is an app to request the time your room is made up - breakfast and dinner buffet offer good variety, were different every night and included meat fish vegetables and local specialities. Items are constantly replenished and overall I think meals are excellent value - overall, it’s a very good experience. The following would require improvement, small adjustments would allow to step up from good to excellent: - when you book a double, as a couple, you expect a double bed or at least not to have single sheets and single mattress toppers, that leave a gap between you and your partner during the night. We basically slept in separate twin beds for a week. The bed itself is ok but I didn’t enjoy the twin bed set-up or find it relaxing when on holiday with my partner! - bathroom towels are small and rather thin - the hotel’s beach has no sun-beds (but the nearby beach does at 7 euros a day) - no private parking…we had no issues street parking in October but I wonder how busy this may get in peak season - the coffee from the machine at breakfast could be better. "
