We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The owners are incredibly friendly and make you feel warmly welcomed from the very first moment. Our room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and the natural colors created such a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The Superior Room is absolutely stunning – a real dream! The breakfast was delicious and lovingly prepared, a perfect start to the day. The location couldn’t be better, everything is easy to reach. We can highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back!

Lovely hotel

Very nice hotel a few minutes walk from Skagen centre, and from the harbour areas. Very friendly staff also. We had a room upgrade so enjoyed a lovely balcony in the evenings. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was fine (I missed normal yoghurt, but apart from that the choice of breads, cheese and meats were good.)

Perfect room and bathroom - just pacious enough for one person with a desk overlooking neighborhood. Excellent breakfast and evening meal options. Wide selection of drinks, special cocktails. No difficulty parking. As a single, elderly woman traveling alone, I was so warmly welcomed. Owners went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and safe. They also helped guide me to special sights of interest in the area. I would love to return to see more of this beautiful part of Denmark.

This is a clean, friendly hotel where the owners go out of their way to be hospitable. The place has been recently renovated. It does look over the working harbor but that is a plus in that the area is less crowded with tourists. Bike rental on premises. Easy walk to Skagen art museums and station. Lovely breakfast and indoor and outdoor tables. Thanks for a lovely visit!

An excellent stay in this really well run hotel. Good location for the nearby town and beaches. The attention to detail of the furnishings and decoration was notable with high quality every where you look. High level of cleanliness too and super pleasant owners. We will return to beautiful Skagen and will have no hesitation staying at the Strandly again.

The Hotel Strandly was lovely. The receptionist was so warm and kind, and greeted me at breakfast every morning. The location is great, a good 5-10 minute walk into the center of town and a 10 minute walk to the beach, but you're in a beautiful neighborhood to go for walks in with a couple of shops nearby. The room was so pretty, and cozy without feeling cramped. Breakfast was also delicious, a buffet spread with something for everyone.

Rarely using 5 star rating, but this hotel delivers so much over my expectations. Nice and neatly renovated small hotel. No service or reception attended in the evening. But the staff goes over and beyond to make the stay fantastic. Attitude or actually better than a real 5 star hotel as they recognize their guests and follow up day after!

The Hotel Strandly is one of the friendliest places we have ever stayed. The owner & his wife gave personalized suggestions for restaurants and activities & went out of their way to ensure we were happy with everything. We did experience some noise from the neighboring room but everyone nicely observed quiet hours after 10 pm. Breakfast was a lavish & delicious buffet of fresh foods, with tea, juices & coffee. The owner also mixed great afternoon cocktails. The hotel was within walking distance of shops, restaurants & tourist attractions. Other locations were only short drives away. The hotel also had a good supply of rental bikes. We loved our 5 day stay in Skagen & would highly recommend the Hotel Strandly.

We wanted to go to Skagen because of the coastal landscape and planned to walk a lot. This hotel was close to the railway station and right in the frontline road at the beach (the view was if port facilities but that did not spoil our stay) so perfect for us. The owners could not have been nicer or more accommodating - we were treated like old friends and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spotless and the bed comfortable (although I prefer a firm pillow - that is just me being picky). Breakfast was good for a hotel if this size and in a very nice room since the mornings were not warm enough to eat in the garden area. We had drinks in the garden in the afternoons and that was very pleasant. I'd happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and would stay there again myself.

Staying at the Strandly Hotel was the highlight of our visit in Denmark! Our room was beautiful, open and bright and clean Thomas and Didde were so welcoming! They have a lovely hotel with such charm. Every morning we came down stairs to a delicious breakfast of fresh breads, cheeses, fruits , yogurts, sliced meats , eggs and so much more. They had teas , coffe and juices. We were thrilled. Throughout the day you could order sodas , coffees and wines and other spirits at cocktail hour. The location is perfect , easy to walk into the charming town and across the street from their beautiful beaches. Thank you so much for our beautiful weeks stay. Although the United States is far away, we hope we can return to Skagen and the Strandly hotel soon. Thank you again Thomas and Didde for making our visit so memorable. 🙌🙌
