Overall it was what I expected. However my reservation included free breakfast (as noted in my confirmation email as well as on the listing). When I showed them my confirmation email which stated I had free breakfast included they told me that they would not provide it as on their end it said I only paid for the room. I told them that was rediculous as i had paid for room and breakfast and it was stated in my confirmation email. I had to argue with the hotel manager for 20 minutes before he finally gave in and said “for you, my friend, we will give breakfast” as if they were doing me a favor or something. I paid for it! Nous avons Check-in plus tôt (5$) et nous sommes allés dans la chambre. Eeeeuh il n’y a qu’un seul lit, nous sommes 3\. Donc apparement ça existe dans un hôtel de proposer un seul lit pour 3 personnes. Nous avons du payer 10$ de supplément pour une chambre avec 2 lits. Mis à part ça l’hôtel est magnifique, le personnel très serviable et surtout adorable. Aïe, deuxième kouak : la piscine n’est pas utilisable car non nettoyer. L’explication : il a plu ces derniers jours, il m’a nettoieront demain... sauf qu’ils ne l’ont Jamais nettoyé et que dans la chaleur étouffante d’en Siem Reap c’est très frustrant de ne pas pouvoir se baigner (c’est surtout pour ça qu’on avait réservé cet hôtel). If you’re traveling alone (as a female mainly), the pathway to the hotel from the hotel is not completely lighted. While I felt completely safe, my female companion made the point that she would be fearful of walking it alone. Overall, a. On arrival was told they had booked our room out to another couple but arranged a room with two beds for us. This turned out to be one bed and a cot (which was hard as a rock and wouldn't have been suitable for a whole week). Asked to change rooms, they refused, asked for a refund, they refused. Eventually they agreed to give us a room with 2 real beds if we stayed one night in the other. Of the two rooms we saw, they were nothing like the pictures, all the personality has been taken out of them. Grey walls & bad patch jobs, no artwork in the rooms. Some of the furniture is gone; We had to boil the kettle on the floor as the table was removed. They had no toiletries or soap, beds were made everyday but we would often have to go & ask for things like toilet paper, towels or water as they forgot to replace these a lot. We had no hot water for 3 days & we lost power 4 times while I was there. This seemed to be regular in Siem Riep although all other hotels in the street had back up generators. When we lost the power we had no water at all & day one it was out for over 8 hours. The food was okay but they kept running out of items and didn't replace them. Eventually they only had 6 things on the lunch menu. It was nice that the breakfast was included although the toast and was half a loaf of untoasted white bread. Great if you like eggs though, fried, scrambled or omelettes, your pick as long as its eggs. We felt very welcomed. We were picked up from the airport and dropped off at the bus station at the end of our stay which was very convenient. The location is good, everything in Siem Reap is within walking distance. Breakfast was delicious, and the room was very clean and spacious with nice features. One thing we could suggest to improve the room would be hooks for towels and jackets, but that is a very minor point. The member of staff who picked us up from the airport was very chatty and enthusiastic about giving us a tour of the temples and other attractions. He sounded very knowledgeable and I'm sure the tour would have been great, but after a busy few days in Bangkok we wanted to take things more at our own pace and save a bit of money. We hired a tuktuk driver called Chan (hope the spelling is right!) through the hotel and he was absolutely fantastic - put in so much effort to make us comfortable, obligingly stopped wherever we requested and provided free water and cold towels. Highly recommend this hotel . We stayed 5 nights. Included pick up from the airport was easy in a modern car.Our first allocated room on entry stunk of cigarette smoke so we immediately requested another. This turned about to be similar in size and appointments, including a huge bed. Very quiet being at the back. Even quieter with apparently no one staying over at the YHA next door. Very cosy boutique hotel with good swimming pool. Home away from home! A lovely garden setting bringing in lots of butterflies. Watch for the geckoes around the walls cleaning and gulping various insects. A la Carte breakfasts from the menu (American and Cambodian stile), and you can ask for anything extra. Hotel just a couple of hundred metres from the old night market and over the bridge from the day market (then thru to Pub Street). Customer service was good, receptionists speak good English, very friendly and obliging with all our requests.
