We were sad that this lovely couple, working hard and doing a great job, have had to take abuse from unreasonable people who expect the service of a 5\* hotel from B & B proprieters. The property is comfortable and has everything you require in the room. If i was being picky i would like to see less sugary items at breakfast and opt for plain greek yogurt, Weetabix, low sugar muesli as the options on offer are too sweet. The Richmond is a wonderful b&b with faultless service through and through. The only slight niggles were the car parking which can be a little tricky to negotiate (but we did park on-site for our entire stay) and the size of the room, as we had the smaller double room. It was still big enough to accommodate both of us, but there was no storage space but we knew this in advance. Otherwise it was superb - Mark and Caz are wonderful, friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were lovely and it is in a great location for the centre of Shanklin, and only a few minutes walk from the old village. It is also by far the cleanest b&b we have ever stayed in.
