If you are looking for an historic, true Alaska gold rush days establishment, this place is it! Our family really enjoyed staying in the Sunset Suite. Our unit had classic vintage touches (e.g., high ceilings, panelled doors, crown molding) with modern conveniences and flare. Owners and staff were welcoming and helpful but not intrusive. Nice touches such as offering a wine social for guests every night and breakfast coupons made us feel very welcome. Loved the selection of books in the room...

We needed a place to stay for one night on our way from Anchorage to Homer and Inn at Tern Lake was lovely. It was in the middle of nowhere which was perfect for a quiet night's sleep. The guest kitchen was stocked with yogurts, juice, milk, juice, cereals and coffee and fresh cookies were offered on arrival. Would definitely recommend.
