"The BEST vacation home in Marathon for a small family!! My family of four (including two boys, 3 and 6) just ended our stay at Dragonfly Lite and are already dreaming of going back. The property is clean, comfortable and a perfect base for exploring Marathon and the surrounding Keys. The beds are super comfortable for sleeping and the AC keeps the house nice and cool for a break after you’ve been in the sun all day. Outdoor shower was just as awesome as we remembered! Kitchen and grill area are perfect for cooking any meals! We had a great suggestion from Jerry this trip to try Kings Seafood Market and cooked a few amazing dinners of shrimp and fish. You can walk to a few great restaurants, Porky’s was our favorite this trip! We also walked to Lazy Days South for dessert at sunset and to the 7 mile bridge for sunset one evening. (Beware of the bugs with this walk but the views are a must see whether you walk or drive.) Our other must do’s from this trip were Bahia Honda Sandspur Beach (just over the 7 mile bridge from the house) and the Butterfly Conservatory (Key West.) We spent the majority of our mornings exploring Marathon (beach, snorkeling, jet skis, aquarium, shopping) then swimming in the pool mid day, and enjoying fresh seafood dinner early evening before watching the sunset. If this sounds like your dream vacation, you have found the place! Thank you so much to Jerry and Lynn for creating this perfect piece of paradise and sharing it. We will absolutely be back!!"

"If you are here for the fishing, this has got to be one of the best houses in Marathon. Sharks, Tarpon, Grouper, Snapper, Barracuda, cast netted bait all right off the dock. Boat access to the Ocean and Bayside all instant without a no wake zone in sight.The house is a little tired, but works well, room with bait freezer and tackle storage, view from the balcony and main bedroom is beyond stunning. Lots to watch all the time. The pool is great and the kitchen/living room shares the great view and has loads of space. Dolphin pilings have seen better days and can make getting on and off the boat a bit sketchy, but they work well and are needed due to the location. The channel in front of the dock is in fact 30 feet in places, the deepest water for miles, including the bridges!Other than the main bedroom, the others don't have a view to speak of and all share a single bathroom (you need to exit the house and go downstairs to use the 3rd bathroom) and the outdoor space, although functional, is mostly just rubble, the tiki hut is a nice addition.If looking to book this house, take some time to check the status the new build to right, which is half finished and the old Hawks Nest to the left that has just been demolished. If construction was going on when you are there it would be VERY invasive.If you are not keen on fishing and want something with immaculate outdoor space, then look elsewhere, but if you are here to fish, this house is unbeatable."

"I went back and forth on giving a 4-star or 5-star review and ended up settling on a 4-star review. Susan was great with assisting us prior to our trip and Dale was an absolute pleasure helping us during our trip. The home was very clean, spacious and close to everything we wanted to do. We had four adults and two teenagers staying in one home and we were not cramped or uncomfortable in any way. The AC was super cold. The pool was smaller than we expected by seeing it pictures but ended up being perfect and refreshing at the end of our days. They had everything we needed there to cook, BBQ, etc., and we only had to buy food and drinks. The grounds around the home were very clean. There were only two cons, one being that it was termite swarming season and even though we kept the doors and windows closed they did get in the house. Since the house is only cleaned prior to arrival, there were many dead and a few live termites in the home by the end of our trip, including on the stovetop. Obviously, they can't control mother nature and I'm not sure anything could have been done about this, maybe a mid-week clean for guests staying longer? Also, part of the reason we booked this location was they had a boat dock on the website photos that was ideal to dock our boat and allow my 15-year-old son to fish off of while still being near us. Unfortunately, this dock was under construction the entire time we were there and could not be used. Dale was still able to find a spot for our boat, but the dock was not usable for fishing and there were workers in the common space during the day which made it hard to use the paddle boards or kayaks. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would definitely not hesitate to book again with them in the future. Thank you Dale and Susan, for your hospitality!"
