Cayman Reef offers the best value on Seven Mile Beach. \*Note\* The beach in front of Cayman Reef has become very active over the last two years. The summer systems tend to shift the sand north and the winter systems shift the sand back south to us. So it is quite likely that there will not be sand on the beach during the months of July through December. The central section of Seven Mile Beach has the widest and most reliable stretch of beach but you will notice that reflected in the pricing of those complexes versus Cayman Reef. We provide folding beach chairs so that you can access the beach next door (or elsewhere on the Island) if visiting during a time when our water is up to the wall. Our condo is FULLY stocked. Walk in and enjoy your visit to beautiful Cayman. Our condo is located at Cayman Reef Resort in the heart of the action on Seven Mile Beach. Everything you need is within walking distance. The condo itself is located between the beach and the pool and you will enjoy beautiful views and amazing sunsets from the living room and its patio. The Resort boasts a pool, a lighted tennis court, and plenty of green space. There is a new King size bed in the bedroom as well as a queen size sofa bed in the living room. There are flat screen TVs in both the living room and the bedroom and WIFI internet throughout the unit. We also have a phone with unlimited calls to Canada and the US and have a local cell phone for you to use during your visit. We have paid attention to detail to ensure that you feel at home. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the basics as well as some nice extras such as a coffee maker, set of wine glasses, serving dishes and knife block to name just a few. We have a Serta Perfect Sleeper Mattress and added high quality Ralph Lauren bedding and towels to ensure you are comfortable in all aspects. We have the same Pacific Coast pillows on our bed as your find in five star hotels. We also want you and your valuables to feel secure so you will find a safe in the condo. The bathroom has been recently renovated and has a spacious, walk-in shower. We are on a beautiful, wide section of Seven Mile Beach close to all amenities. Enjoy snorkeling directly in front of the complex and easy access to all other watersports (jet-skiing, parasailing, banana boat, kayaking, etc) a short walk away at the Royal Palms beach bar. A visit to Cayman isn't complete without a visit to Stingray City. Tour operators will pick you up at the condo to take you to Stingray City or Scuba Diving. Also within walking distance is Cayman's newest development, Camana Bay, where you will find the cinema, shops, restaurants and a nice treat of ice cream or frozen yogurt. Our condo is also on the bus route for easy access to downtown George Town. Cayman Reef Resort is located in the heart of the action with too many restaurants and bars within walking distance to name. You will also find a great variety with many options in both casual, good value dining as well as high end dining. As for essentials, there are two supermarkets about a 15 minute walk away (in opposite directions), a wine/spirits/beer store across the road, and an ATM also across the street. Hopefully not necessary, but there is a medical clinic at Camana Bay which is a 10 minute walk. Cars are driven on the left side of the road in Cayman which can be daunting to many North Americans. There are plenty of options for car rentals but most visitors choose not to rent a car and walk to most attractions or catch the bus. As we live in the same complex, we offer you the additional benefit of being close by should you need anything. We include a welcome package of some of our favorite things to do on-island and where to find all of the necessities. We are also able to arrange babysitting should you require such services. We purchased this condo in 2012 and really hope that you will enjoy Cayman and the Cayman Reef Resort as much as we do! Her condo was spacious enough for two of us, clean, had all the things we needed (bath/beach towels, cooking appliances and dinnerware, as well as a super comfy bed and storage too.) We never ate at the same restaurant twice, as the choices are so varied. And the people we met—both locals and travelers—were so warm and friendly. The renter was amazing and quick to respond. They sent over a guidebook of local stores and shops. There was so much nearby that was walkable. The beach was small but clean and not crowded. There was plenty of seating and watching the sunsets were the best part. The pool was clean but admittedly we stayed at the beach. The rental had a lot of goodies, utensils, dishes, pool floatys, even laundry detergent for the washer and dryer. My only complaint, if there is one, is the shower head was a little rusty and the curtain had mildew on the bottom and rust around the rings. Also, the towels are white so even though we knew they were clean they were dingy and stained. Still, the rest of the unit was clean and it was all in all a good trip. The condo has everything you need for a great stay. The condo is in a very convenient location. It’s close to restaurants and you can catch a bus right outside the condo on the street to go go practically anywhere. We spent six nights at Cayman Reef Resort and it was PERFECT! Trinda could not have been more responsive and she had everything ready for us when we arrived. The unit was spacious, clean, and bright with all appliances in great shape. Lots of little extras made for a fabulous stay. We were literally just steps from the pool and the beach, with close access to lots of shopping (Camana Bay is the best!), supplies, and restaurants. Staff on property (particularly Hal) were friendly and we always felt safe. We'll be back!! ##### Tom A. I would recommend this condo to anyone. Everything inside was new and clean and worked as expected. The swimming pool is big and clean. It is in a good location if you don't have a car. Camana Bay shopping area is a 10 minute walk away and it has restaurants and a big grocery store and a Starbucks. There are restaurants and a dive shop shop across the street and Rubi's gas station is just a 3 min walk and has milk, bread and basic stuff. There are beach chairs with umbrellas and small tables available in the sand and a couple of tables with chairs up on the top of the wall. The only minor drawback to the location is that the south end of Seven Mile Beach is not as wide as it is farther north so if you want a wide expanse of sand you have to walk for 5 minutes. Next time we come to Geand Cayman we'll try to stay in the same condo. ##### Christopher L. Unfortunately there were a few big problems. Most egregious: two days before our trip, Trinda notified me that she forgot to tell us that there was work scheduled on the building that our ground floor rental was located in and she needed to move us to another condo in a different building. Trinda offered our choice of a larger unit on the second floor (unacceptable as my husband is recovering from hip surgery) or a mirror image unit on the ground floor. While the floor plan of the substitute unit was basically the same, the replacement unit was not as nicely furnished and certainly not "newly renovated" or "well-stocked." (For example, blinds were missing or not in working condition, the single closet was so full it was not possible to hang anything in it, the dishwasher was unusable because the sealer around the door was unattached, interior doors were difficult to open/close, etc..) The resort property itself was pretty and well maintained - although looking at a fumigation tent for several days detracted from the view. I did not actually speak with Trinda during our stay although I did both call and text the contact number provided. All in all, we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay on one of our favorite islands. It just wasn't what we had initially paid for, planned for and expected , or what our previous VRBO rentals have been like. I would like to believe that this experience was a unique and unfortunate occurrence. (On a positive note, VRBO has already provided the manager-initiated discount.) ##### Mary Anne H. This property is exactly as detailed. The location is perfect if you don’t want to have a car. The beach is beautiful- the water is amazing. Bring your snorkel for the water right in front of you! There is a liquor store across the street and the grocery store is only a 10 min walk. There are all kinds of shops and restaurants within a 5/10 min walk. The host is very responsive and went above and beyond for us. We will be back! ##### Rorie F.
