We loved the room lovely king size bed comfortable and nice single bed for our child Linda was very kind and helpful plenty of tea coffee and milk ten out of ten for value for money I would highly recommend this guest house

Pleasant stay

Very comfortable room with large bathroom area. A short walk from all amenities. Not currently serving breakfast but there are plenty of places in Scarborough for this.

Excrement

When we arrived we were shown a notice that said the main guests at the Bayhouse were council referrals! The notice also stated that there would be no servicing of the rooms for the duration of your stay. There was a excrement stain on the bathroom floor trying to be passed off as hair dye, in my opinion under no circumstances should this room have been let until the disgusting stain had been removed. The website said that breakfast was available at the venue - this was not the case.

we didnt stay. checked in and moved somewhere else within an hour... took 20 min to get in with the keys that had been left.. door was difficult to open. nobody there to help on arrival. my mum was put in a room next to 2 dogs barking constantly.. wasnt clean and hall way smelt damp and musty. cudnt get out fast enough. was told cudnt have refund. my mum who is 80 was very distressed. my advice. dont stay there......

Fab location. And Linda and her staff were really great. Excellent service with a smile.The room was very nice. DVD player and tv were fine. I had breakfast every day, a vegetarian full english (and lots of help-yourself other stuff too), and that was always very good. I would love to stay there again, and would recommend to anyone.

Good value accomodation but not really for us.

Pros - the hotel is clean, the bed comfortable and the price affordable. parking was good. If we sat on the high stools in our room, we could see the sea. Cons - although only recently renovated the décor is strangely dated. Now room only, we found the breakfast arrangements were complicated and restrictive and we ate out. It was not clear where to check in or how to check out or how we would have contacted the owner if required. Despite opening the window the bedroom was unbearably hot during the night

Great hotel, welcomed by owner even though we arrived early she was very accommodating. Booked continental breakfast and staff went to local sainsburys for us and bought fresh croissants wow now that’s outstanding service. Room clean, well equipped and beds were like giant marshmallows so comfy/cosy, plenty of help yourself coffee/tea etc left out daily. Many thsnks to all staff

Treat for my girls

Arrived with my two daughters 6 & 9 yrs Tuesday 28th Aug stayed 2 nights Staff very welcoming , room was ready early which was a bonus , Stayed in a family room ( Room 2 ) very clean & tidy , big double bed & 2 singles & on-suite couldnt fault room , tele /dvd with plenty of films on landing to choose from Tea/coffee in room, Had a great night sleep & no noise from seagulls 😊 Great location ,Would recommend this hotel & will definately be back when i stay in Scarborough again Thank you from me & my girls 👍😊

WONDERFUL!

Had a WONDERFUL stay! Staff were very friendly and helpful, made us feel at home the whole time we were there. We were able to park outside the front door, location was great in that its 200 meters from the beach, and we found a couple of restaurants within walking distance too (5 minutes). My 7yr old has already informed me that we will be visiting again lol Thanks for a lovely trip :)

Very nice hotel

The hotel is very nice, really clean, dog friendly. The landlady is very welcoming. Hotel room has everything you need. Big fridge which we used to keep drinks cool and a TV with freeview. In the en suite we had a shower with white fluffy towels and shampoo and shower gel provided. Will definitely stay again

Great stay

Bay House is close to the Scarborough Spa, the staff are friendly and accommodating. Dogs are welcome which is great. The breakfasts were tasty,hot and plentiful. In our room we had an adjustable bed which was great and the room had a fridge/freezer which is really handy for dog food and perhaps a little wine! The room is only made up during the stay on request which is great as we prefer not to be disturbed and there's extra tea/coffee stuff to help yourself to. All in all a lovely stay and very nice people!

Nice little B&B

Lovely little place, got a free upgrade as we were the only ones in the place. Breakfast superb, had heating problems first day but resolved quickly when we told owner. They even offered us another night if we wanted free of charge

Lovely family room

What a treat to have a spacious en-suite family room with two proper single beds for the children instead of bunk beds. The location of the hotel was also excellent with just a short stroll into town or the Spa theatre for the evening show. Will definately stay here again next time we are in Scarborough.
